I'm here today in Manchester at Gateley filming the "Do you know the value of your business? It's time you do!" event for Hardman & Co. The brief for today's event was an on-demand stream so didn't go live, but everything was done the same as always with a recce ahead of the event to help with planning and processes, and cameras and audio setup in the same way as a live stream. With 2 talks running back to back it gave me the chance to film one, and capture b-roll during the other for a highlights video. Filming your event gives you the chance to maximise its value - you can have a cleaned up video of the full event to use as a resource to share with your audience, or charge for access, allowing you to generate an additional revenue stream. Opting for additional post production such as a highlights video, individual speaker videos, or social media shorts also allows you to share and prolong your event's success to attract people to attend your event the next time you run it - it's a win-win!
