Layered materials workflow for first person 4k games. EDIT: Tutorial in the comments! In this project I developed a solid workflow using tiling textures and mesh masks to create high resolution materials that looks good from far away and up close. This allows me to have a high quality environment with reduced disk size, compared to regular unique textures workflows. #unrealengine #technicalart #gamedev

Yesterday I gave a webinar on how to think the “card” as a powerful game component. Cards are one of the most versatile components in game design, but we seldom take full advantage of its properties. The fact that you can flip, rotate, superpose, stack and fan them in different ways allows for the creation of really interesting game mechanics.
