With nearly 4.5 billion individuals still devoid of essential health services, the world is in desperate need of strong healthcare systems. Financial burdens continue, with 1.3 billion people pushed into poverty owing to medical expenses. December 12th marks Universal Health Coverage Day—a pivotal reminder of the global need for accessible healthcare. The aspiration is simple: equitable access to quality healthcare, close to home, empowering individuals economically and socially. As decision-makers, it's crucial we collaborate to protect vulnerable populations and ensure healthcare is a basic human right. This UHC Day, let's collectively prioritize health as a key driver for strong communities and economies. What's one action you think can drive us closer to universal health coverage? ♻️Repost to spread the message. #healthcare #UHCday #systems
Collaboration is key in making healthcare more accessible. We all have a role to play.
Thanks for highlighting UHC Day and the need for global accessible healthcare, Aziz Mallik. Equitable and accessible healthcare is a basic human right and should be championed by all 24/7/365.
No where near universal coverage. One of the problems is every time a new administration comes in it tries to undo the previous one has accomplished.
Thank you for your insight Aziz Mallik
Sadly we are not Aziz Mallik
Aziz Mallik How can everyone receive proper healthcare? That is the million-dollar question. My opinion: when healthcare is viewed as a basic necessity instead of a profit maker, more changes will happen.
Aziz Mallik This is a well thought out post and I agree with collaborating with key decision makers to protect vulnerable population.
Universal Health Coverage is vital! Strengthening primary healthcare ensures essential services reach all, improving health and economic stability. Let's unite to make healthcare accessible for everyone!

2wAziz Mallik - I do not think that we are close to universal healthcare coverage. When we talk about universal care, I do not hear discussions about holistic care inclusion oral, vision, behavioral, cognitive, etc.and I do not hear discussions about interprofessional or team-based care.
