Dr. Kent Warren, our Chief Science Officer, presented the results of our long-term durability demonstration earlier this week at ASME’s 18th International Conference on Energy Sustainability in, “An Efficient and Scalable Approach to Solar Thermochemical Fuel Production via an Iron Aluminate-Based, Pressure-Swing Redox Cycle.”
In this demonstration, OMC’s proprietary active material was subjected to over 60 days of time under process relevant conditions and exhibited exceptional, industry-leading chemical stability that paves the way for commercial trials and cost advantages over competing technologies that steadily degrade over time.
The use of heat and resilient, low-cost, and globally abundant materials to make green hydrogen or to repurpose CO2 back into useful chemicals and fuels offers a paradigm shift for scalable, affordable industrial decarbonization.
Much thanks to Justin T. and Liam Taylor for their work on this demonstration.
