Gin Kumquat Cocktail Ingredients: • 1 ounce gin • 1½ ounces St. Germain • 3 kumquats, halved • 4 ounces club soda • 2 teaspoons sugar Method: 1. Muddle the kumquats and sugar together in a glass until they create a rich, syrupy base. 2. Add the gin, St. Germain, and a splash of club soda. 3. Pour the mixture into a cocktail shaker filled with ice. Shake well and strain into a martini glass with one or two medium ice cubes. Garnish with fresh kumquat rounds. Note: Adjust the sugar to suit your taste.

It's all about finding complementary flavors that elevate the overall taste profile of the cocktail. It's all about experimentation and discovering new flavor combinations that work well together. My inspiration for using sweet potato in a cocktail could have come from a desire to experiment with unique and flavorful ingredients and adding a touch of seasonal flair to the drink. Sweet potato offers a rich, earthy sweetness that complements the cocktail, making it an intriguing choice to use. The garnish for the drink is aimed for sustainability. The leftover of the Sweet potato chilli tincture was then layered on a dehydrated sheet and dehydrated. Creating a series of cocktails for your cocktail menu, weather its seasonal, monthly or bi-monthly is a great tool to keep your regular customers and guests revisiting your venue and falling in love with your bar program. This is exactly what the legendary Milk&Honey did. The bar team created a series called “HANDS” featuring different cocktails that essentially were variations of other successful cocktails. The Right Hand (Aged Rum), Tres Hands (Tequila/Mezcal) and Smoking Hand (Scotch) were examples of this series.
