A little over a week to go until I’ll be in Port Macquarie speaking to SMSF trustees, advisors and accountants about what we’re seeing in global financial markets! With the interest rate cycle now turning from hikes to cuts, stretched equity valuations remaining a feature and signs of rotation out of momentum strategies towards value, there are potentially big implications for different asset classes.

My first few months at OSBF have been a whirlwind of rewarding challenges, and I’m excited to highlight some unique cases I've been exploring: 🏞️ Development of Holiday Lodges: We're working on transforming an agricultural estate into a holiday haven. Despite pressure from a 2nd charge bridging lender unwilling to extend more funds, we’re seeking innovative financing solutions that will allow for the development to continue. 🏨 Hotel Revival: Breathing new life into a hotel bought out of administration. We're exploring ways to provide the crucial finance needed to kickstart operations and establish a solid track record prior to refinancing. ⛳ Golf Club: As a traditional industry with the added complexity of being Limited by Guarantee, we’re actively looking for strategies to facilitate the necessary cash to keep the club on solid footing. As much as I advocate for diversity and equity in #STEM, I would be no where without my #Arts and #Humanities background. Playing musical instruments helped me to be a better mathematician, reading books expanded my creativity, and participating in performing arts helped my leadership and oration skillsets develop.
