Celebrating 8 Years of the HERO’s Program
For the past 8 incredible years, the Papua New Guinea Olympic Committee and the PNG Athletes Commission has proudly championed the HERO’s Program – a transformative initiative that empowers young Papua New Guineans to become leaders in their communities through the values of Excellence, Respect, and Friendship.
Rooted in the Olympic Values Education Program (OVEP), the HERO’s Program promotes the principles of Olympism365, connecting sport, education, and culture to build positive social change. By aligning with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), the program works toward building a more inclusive, equitable, and sustainable future for all.
