Despite efforts by successive governments this rate of imprisonment remains stubbornly high Remand rates more than replacing the reduction in short term sentences. The judiciary clearly dont find the alternatives sufficiently robust. This needs to change Prison is ‘expensive’ in damage to families/children/communities as well as to the taxpayer. Time for the talking to stop and prison population to be radically reduced

It is key that all leaders ‘focus on the evidence about what really works to prevent crime’ - we need commitments to long term evidence based local solutions.

THE UK IS SINKING EVEN FURTHER INTO A SWAMP OF CRIME! Quote from the Ministry of Justice (MOJ) regarding the early release of a dangerous criminal: "There are significant issues with the prison population". I had to laugh at the politically correct phrase ‘Significant Issues’.  Britain is now the preferred destination for criminals because they know our jails are full. But our Prime Minister chooses to pay hotel owners £8,000,000 a day to accommodate uninvited migrants - and naturally, some are using their freedom of movement to commit crime! This nonsense is beyond my understanding, but sadly that's the reality in Britain today. Years ago we should have built SECURE accommodation centres that would be used to incarcerate non-violent offenders, illegal immigrants and others that need to be separated from law-abiding citizens. Let them all live together in their new home and put to work doing something productive to help pay the cost of their board and lodging. Naturally, this idea is too obvious for dumb politicians to think of.

This truly makes me sick! America has become OUT OF CONTROL over the last 4 years… people are supposed to come to America for a better life, not to cause havoc, live off of our government, and commit heinous crimes to boot!! This migrant problem is ridiculous at this point! Living in NYC, we’ve had a ton of migrant criminal activity here… I realize everyone deserves a chance at a better life, but WHY aren’t we fixing America’s homeless and jobless problem before we try to help people who aren’t from America?! We’re cutting government assistance budgets, department of education budgets, nonprofit budgets, among others, all to be able to support non Americans that don’t want to help themselves! We can’t even house or feed our own, yet they want to just keep over populating America, which is going to turn our country into a 3rd world country if we keep going in the direction we’re going in now! Shouldn’t American’s safety and success be the priority?! Something HAS to change and it MUST start at the White House!! #americaissuffering #wakeupeveryone
