Bailey's Moving and Storage’s Post

Truck Drivers Move Us All Forward! These dedicated professionals work tirelessly to keep our shelves stocked and our communities connected. Without their hard work and dedication, our daily lives and the economy would look very different. What do they want us to know as we share the road? - Part 1 Trucks don't have rearview mirrors. If you can't see the driver’s face in his side mirrors- He can't see you either, and you are in a blind spot. Visibility helps prevent accidents. Always pass on the left side, making sure you can see the full front of the truck in your rear-view mirror before you move in front of it and back into the lane. Trucks are heavy and can't stop as quickly as cars. 🚚 Let's keep our roads safe by working together and giving trucks the space they need to maneuver those big rigs, especially around tight corners! #MovingForward #Community #DriveWithUs #SafeDriving #RoadSafety #BeKind #Courtesy #Patience #WorkTogether

I wish that more people had a better understanding of how long it takes to get a truck up to highway speed and even more importantly, how much longer it takes to stop with so much on board weight and momentum. This would make it safer for everyone on the roads. Also, how grateful I am for the vast majority of professional drivers who are unbelievably skilled and how hard they work to keep all of us with the goods that we desire and to keep the roads as safe as possible. Lastly, how many of these great drivers will regularly stop to assist other motorists who are broke down or in weather related trouble. Thank you all of our drivers and to all drivers everywhere!!!
