An approval from Saudi Arabia and an approval from the African Civil Aviation Commission have been obtained. A new airline focusing on the African market will be launched by Saudi Arabia, according to reports. In a report citing multiple sources, Saudi Arabia's Al Eqtisadiah Arabic newspaper reported that the airline will launch in Riyadh to promote tourism and investment in the kingdom and the African continent. According to the report, Saudi Arabia and the African Civil Aviation Commission (AFCAC) have approved the project. Al Eqtisadiah said the company's routes and details of the launch are still to be announced. It will be the relaunch of a defunct airline that operated in Saudi Arabia between 2016 and 2021 but was forced to shut down because of economic difficulties. Several African countries and Saudi cities are expected to be served directly and via stopover flights by the new airline, Al Eqtisadiah said. #ksa #saudi #saudiarabia #saudivision2030 #riyadh2030 #business #growth #finance #funding #airlines #africa Source - Zawya
