🌟Since coming back from an incredible holiday, I’ve realised that recovery isn’t just about resting - it’s about intentionally engaging in practices that realign the body and mind. Recently, my son introduced me to the power of ice baths, and they’ve quickly become a part of my self-care journey. What resonates deeply with me is how this practice aligns with my personal value of becoming comfortable with discomfort. Here’s what I’ve learned so far: ❄️ It reduces inflammation & muscle soreness: Long travel days or workouts can take a toll. Ice baths soothe muscles and accelerate recovery. 🧊 It boosts mental clarity & emotional resilience: The cold triggers the nervous system, sharpening my focus and helping me build resilience - just like facing life’s challenges. ⚡ It elevates mood & energy: There’s something invigorating about the endorphin rush that follows an ice bath, leaving me refreshed and ready to step back into the flow. 💪 It strengthens discipline & presence: Learning to stay calm in discomfort is a profound mental exercise, one that helps me show up more grounded and intentional, both personally and professionally. This practice reminds me that leaning into discomfort can be empowering. What new practices have you embraced that align with your personal values? How do you practice being comfortable with discomfort? Check-out 'Reclab' a fantastic facility in Wembly with ice pools, magnesium hot pool, sauna and steam rooms, Perth. #SelfCare #Recovery #IceBaths #Resilience #ComfortWithDiscomfort #LeaderWithin #Performance #Selfawareness

Habits can be good or bad, depending on their impact on your life. As we age, routines develop because they save us time and use less brain power when we rely on them. Habits and routines can streamline our lives and conserve mental energy. However, it's crucial to maintain a balance, develop and practice healthy habits, and avoid falling into rigid patterns. Healthy habits can expand our creative capacity. Negative habits constrict it. Self-reflection can help. Be intentional about your routines and periodically assess their effectiveness. Make a point to occasionally venture outside your comfort zone by intentionally breaking your routine to stimulate your mind. Identify unhealthy habits by evaluating their impact on sleep patterns, mood, and mental and physical well-being. Check in with family and friends, as you may not know how your regular habits may impact them. #productmanagement #innovation #creativethinking #creativity #creative #ideas #habits #associativethinking #problemsolving

Fruit For Thought Friday! It's crucial to recognize that our modern lifestyle often clashes with our nervous system's needs. We've become disconnected from our bodies, constantly chasing dopamine and neglecting movement. Here are three simple yet impactful tips to reconnect and prioritize rest: 1. Micro wellness breaks: Take short timeouts throughout the day without your phone. Just sit and let your thoughts wander for a minute or two. 2. Mind walks: Take your brain for a short stroll. Movement helps process information and activates our "rest & digest" mode. 3. Body check-ins: At least 3 times daily, tune into your body. Are you tense? Need to stand and shake it off? Can you even feel your body? Remember, proper stress management does not always mean "rest" and good sleep or the mandatory gym session - that might not be ideal stress hygiene for everyone. The key is listening to your body and giving it what it needs. These small, consistent actions can make a huge difference in our overall well-being and productivity. Let's relearn to speak the most important language: that of our nervous system. It's these little things that can have the biggest impact on our ability to recharge and move forward. #FFF #NervenSystemImFokus #NeuroAdapativesStressmanagement #Stressmanagement
