Team: absolutely looking forward to get hands on this new book written by my LinkedIn first contact...Siobhán (shiv-awn) McHale Loved her book "The insider's guide to culture change" and I am expecting nothing less than a block buster in this one! The term "hive mind" is often used to describe a collective consciousness or intelligence that emerges from the collaboration and cooperation of many individuals. In a hive mind, individual members contribute to and benefit from the group's collective knowledge and decision-making processes. This concept is frequently associated with: Social Insects: The term originates from the behavior of social insects like bees, ants, and termites, which work together in highly organized colonies where the collective behavior is more intelligent and efficient than that of any single insect. Science Fiction and Popular Culture: In science fiction, a hive mind often refers to a group of beings that share a collective consciousness, where each member is interconnected and can communicate instantaneously with the rest of the group. Examples include the Borg from "Star Trek" and the Zerg from the "StarCraft" video game series. Human Collaboration: In modern usage, the hive mind can describe human groups working together, especially through the internet and social media, where collective intelligence can solve problems, generate ideas, and create knowledge far beyond the capabilities of individuals. Platforms like Wikipedia, open-source software development communities, and crowd-sourced problem-solving initiatives exemplify this concept. The hive mind metaphor highlights the power of collaboration and shared intelligence, suggesting that together, we can achieve more than we can alone. All the best Siobhán (shiv-awn) McHale !

What an array of amazing concepts! While everyone has a right for an opinion, the truth is always somewhere in the middle. And I think while trying to empower our kids and boost their self esteem, it truly is important to also teach them that there’s always another side of the story. Just yesterday I was reading a kids book to my own boys, about trying to avoid silly mistakes. But then I also tried to show them (out of my own initiative) that while silly mistakes happen, we should also appreciate the lessons/experience we get out of those. What doesn’t kill you makes you stronger and/or wiser and it’s great 😊 Another concept that resonates with me is getting to teach these lessons as early as possible. Kids are amazing! Their brain plasticity is phenomenal! They grasp things not only faster, but on a completely different level! You’d think my previous concept (two sides of a coin) is a bit early for a 3 year old? Well, my 3 yo not only got it, but came up with even more examples of his own and immediately put it to practice :) and it’s actually the 9 yo who learnt better from him, than on his own 🤯 We shouldn’t wait to teach crucial skills or try to undo the damage when we’re 18 or 38 or 50. Unlearning is much more difficult than just learning. I am definitely ordering the book for my kids and it’s also available in kindle format on Amazon AU and Apple Books: https://lnkd.in/g-sFfjsJ https://lnkd.in/gF8td4zs

My new book dropped yesterday and I hope it’s a positive contribution to parents and of course the 4-8 year old kids! Start the book from the front and readers will learn about Eager Eagle’s 🦅 day. 🔄 Flip it over and readers will see the same story from Patient Pig’s 🐷 perspective. It’s a fun story about how real success comes from seeing how the other side does it. If you have kids or have friends/family who would enjoy this book, it would mean a whole lot if you could share it their way: https://lnkd.in/ea-DGzf5
