In the world of spirits, innovation and tradition blend to create unique flavors and experiences. One good way to get a super finishis for Single Malt whisky or Rhum is to use wooden barrels that previously matured Californian Brandy for a few years years. Californian Brandy, with its deep roots in the state’s wine culture, imparts rich, fruity, and complex notes to the spirit. The wooden barrels used in aging Californian Brandy are seasoned with nuanced flavors. When whisky or rhum is finished in these barrels, it absorbs additional layers of sweetness, spice, and depth. Three or four years of brandy maturation is the sweet spot. It ensures that the barrels are rich with flavor compounds but not overly dominant, allowing a harmonious infusion. The result is a spirit with a distinct character. You will get hints of dried fruits, vanilla, and a touch of oak, creating a smooth and sophisticated finish. A couple of containers have just landed at our cooperage in sunny France. we can dispatch small quantities immediately. barrels are very moist. patrice@artandcask.com www.artandcask.com #CalifornianBrandy #Whisky #Rhum #BarrelAging

Another moment where you can sneak some sake onto the dinner table is dessert. ⠀⠀⠀ 🍶⠀⠀⠀ Nigori, cloudy or coarse filtered sake, contains rice lees (rice solids left from the brewing process) which give it a rich and creamy texture.⠀⠀⠀ 🍶⠀⠀⠀ It goes wonderfully with intense flavours and creamy textures like chocolate mousses or tarts, or even a chewy brownie! Dark or milk chocolate, especially if it has inclusions like salt or spices, can also be a great match.⠀⠀⠀ 🍶⠀⠀⠀ Drier textures like dry cake don't work as well, but if you can match the creamy texture nigori plays very nicely with powerful flavours.⠀⠀⠀ 🍶⠀⠀⠀ #discoversake #sake #dessert

《Paper Wrapped Chicken》 As the saying goes, "There is NO Feast without Chickens." The representative work of Cantonese braised food and the first dish of traditional festivals. In order to pursue the authentic taste, local farmers’ free-range chicken is selected as the raw material. After cutting into pieces, it is marinated with soy sauce, ginger juice, star anise, fennel, tangerine peel, grass fruit, red rice, ancient moon powder and other seasonings, and white onions. It is made by wrapping each piece with jade-buttoned paper, then dipping it in peanut oil in a pan and frying it. The original paper-dipping cooking method locks in the original flavor of the chicken and seasonings, so it can keep the chicken tender, smooth, mellow and not greasy, golden in color and fragrant in smell. #cagefreechicken #freerangechicken #sustainability #thewestindesaru #festivaldishes

WHAT DOES BOURBON TASTE LIKE? Bourbon is a distinctive type of American whiskey that has its own unique flavor profile, making it highly sought-after by connoisseurs and casual whiskey lovers alike. Here’s what bourbon to uncover the flavours that make it so special. 1️⃣ Bourbon, made from at least 51% corn, has a naturally sweet, full-bodied flavor with a rich, creamy texture and subtle sweetness. 2️⃣ During fermentation, esters develop, adding fruity notes like banana and citrus. These subtle flavours add complexity and a refreshing brightness to the whiskey, enhancing its overall profile. 3️⃣ Bourbon is distilled to a lower proof, preserving more of the grain's natural flavors, resulting in a rich, robust character and full-bodied mouthfeel. 4️⃣ Bourbon is aged in new charred oak barrels, imparting flavors of vanilla, toasted oak, and spice. The caramelized wood sugars give it signature notes of vanilla, sweetness, and a warm, spicy finish. What’s your favourite way to enjoy bourbon?
