With a deadline to implement the NIS 2 Directive by 17 October 2024, the Heads of Bill for the national legislation are expected imminently. The NIS 2 Directive will impose enhanced cybersecurity obligations on those who are already subject to the NIS Directive and expands the scope of the previous regime to capture a wider number of bodies. Organisations should consider the NIS 2 Directive to determine whether they are subject to it, so that affected organisations can be prepared to comply with their obligations when the applicable national legislation comes into force.
