Quick Tip: Remove unnecessary usings💡 You can remove unused usings not just in a document, but across a whole project or solution. I've recently removed over 500+ usings from an old project. Nowadays, Visual Studio IntelliSense is smart enough to suggest and include namespaces on the fly, so you no longer have to manually add a using before/when referencing a class from a different namespace. To avoid unnecessary usings in the future, I recommend setting up a rule to delete them on save. https://lnkd.in/eSZb3SQU

Spell checking in VS2022 Switching to the built-in spell checker in Visual Studio is smart, as it comes integrated with the latest updates and features. It eliminates the need for external extensions, making your development environment cleaner and easier to maintain. The built-in tool provides on-the-fly spell checking and suggestions right within the editor, addressing most spell-checking needs effectively. You can also toggle the spell checker using the edit menu > advanced > toggle spell check https://lnkd.in/dHmzSb5b

Visual Studio just got smarter, and I’m loving it! 🤩 Previously, you had to move your cursor to the exact spot to see suggested changes, but now it identifies similar spots automatically! Just navigate, hit Tab, and let the magic happen. 🚀 Not sure when this was added, but it’s definitely an exciting and helpful addition! 💻✨ #DevTips #VisualStudio

How to enable 𝗶𝗻𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗲 𝗵𝗶𝗻𝘁𝘀 in Visual Studio 💡 What do you think about enabling these? 👍🏻or👎🏻? I personally prefer to use named arguments (example in the comments below) so the 'hints' also show up outside the context of the IDE such as on a GitHub repo or pull request. ps. double click inline parameter hints to turn them into named arguments.
