#SuperApps are a hot topic in mobile banking 📱 today. Applications which integrate #Banking and #NonBanking services are becoming popular. Customers' high interest and trust pave the way. While in the first years of mobile banking, the efforts focused on adding more and more banking functionalities, the current trend is to integrate further services like insurance, consumer benefits and rewards, and even e-commerce, personal activities or social media. Banks in Europe 🌍 and North America 🌎 have to meet strict regulations about consumer data protection, but the opportunities are high. Service provider #Pymnts.com recently published a study conducted with more than 9.000 consumers, asking about interest in super apps: 📈 - 72 % are #somewhat interested, 📈 - 25 % are #extremely interested. Importantly, the poll showed high levels of respondents’ trust in 🏦 banks. It even exceeds their trust in big tech companies or government institutions. This trust, combined with high interest, creates a big potential for banks to go ahead with super apps development. The opportunities of super apps include: - #ServiceDiversification, - #ImprovedEfficiency, which can lead to increased #CustomerLoyalty. We at Dateio closely monitor the trend, as we are part of it.
