How good are these invert segments from the Oliola Water Tunnel? Finding these photos reminded us of the durability built into every part of this 7,000m tunnel, with #BarChip fibre reinforcing the temporary shotcrete lining, the cast in situ lining and the invert segments. Now there’s a tunnel that’s making sure it’s corrosion free and built to last. This project may have wrapped up years ago, but it’s a great example of how projects can keep concrete corrosion free, no matter the conditions. Pretty good photos too. #tunnelengineering #infrastructure #fibrerenforcedconcrete #tunnelling #precastconcrete #invertsegments #corrosionfree #fibreconcrete

Deep Foamjection™ In Deep Foamjection, steel rods are driven down to various depths, to repair the subgrade that allowed the slab to settle in the first place. These types of lifts can be applied to numerous types of infrastructure such as: - Roads & highways (asphalt) - Railroads (gravel/ballast) - Rural roads (gravel/dirt) - Bridges (asphalt/concrete) - And much more! As a result of Deep Foamjection, you are addressing the root cause of the problem at various depths. Deep Foamjection is a process that involves injecting foam into the ground to fill gaps, cracks, cavities, and other voids. This helps to stabilize the soil, prevent water seepage, and improve the structural integrity of the soil, thus tackling the cause of the problem instead of just the symptoms.

The use of Geofoam as backfill material for buried and retaining walls provides numerous advantages. Its lightweight nature reduces lateral pressures, enabling the use of less substantial retaining walls. Geofoam also helps to mitigate horizontal forces during seismic events, enhancing the overall stability of the structure. Proper drainage systems must be incorporated to address hydrostatic pressure and buoyancy-related uplift. Additionally, Geofoam offers benefits for buried wall applications, including reduced vertical loads and ease of installation.

"The operations are relatively simple to start an MBBR module, you have to: - Receive the truck, - Sweep the concrete slab, - Place and fix the module to the slab, - Fix and connect the electrical cabinet. Since everything else is tested in the factory, there are no surprises when you arrive on site. Then you have to fill the tank, and to be honest, that's what took me the most time. So how long do you think it took? " PS: See you at CGLE 2023 Rennes (FR) to talk about it! >>Hall 8 - 451 #1h2o3 #wastewater #mbbr #clarifier #sewage #drinkingwater #sanitation #lamella #Nitrification #industrialwater

Why LDPE Separation Membranes are used while road construction? Imagine you’re building a house. Would you want the foundation (concrete slab) to directly touch the soil? Now why wouldn’t you want the foundation (concrete slab) touching the soil directly in the first place? For preventing water loss! We all know that RCC/concrete needs water to cure and gain strength. The membrane keeps the water from seeping in the soil too quickly, helping the concrete to set properly. Voila! The same applies to RCC roads. Separation membranes act like a protective layer between the RCC slab and the ground beneath. Separation membranes are like a cozy blanket for your RCC road. They keep it safe, help it cure, and make sure it doesn’t get into a fight with the soil making the roads last long enough! #rccroadconstruction #rccroadliners #separationmembrane #lifelongroads #constructionconractors #ldpeseparationmembrane
