Dear all, I am delighted to share the new edition of On The Horizon! https://lnkd.in/e46JFx6y On The Horizon sounds the alarm about conflicts and crises that may emerge in the next three to six months. It identifies key actors and dates to watch in support of global conflict prevention efforts. Our fourth edition includes entries on #Myanmar, the #SouthChinaSea, #Sudan and #Yemen. The selection is not exhaustive, and should be read in conjunction with #CrisisWatch, country/regional reports and other Crisis Group early warning products. Best, Isabelle

👩🏫 Back at teaching Understanding Violence, Conflict and Development (online) at SOAS. In the next few months, we will explore how development theory has treated violence and conflict at different times, as well as contemporary theories and claims about the causes and dynamics of conflict. We look at themes in common between the study of types of violence and wars, and intervention in violent conflict including humanitarian aid, conflict resolution and reconstruction. Looking forward to this term!
