Why Drop Stones in Your Whisky? Whisky stones, also sometimes referred to as whisky rocks, are typically cubed-shaped, small pieces of stone that are designed to be an alternative to ice. They chill whisky just like ice does but without diluting your dram. 1️⃣ They preserve the flavor of whisky while keeping it cool and are environmentally friendly since they can be reused. 2️⃣ To use whisky stones, freeze them for a few hours, gently place them in your glass, pour your whisky, and rinse them after use. 3️⃣ They are great for chilling whisky without dilution, but they don’t stay cold as long as ice. However, since juniper is a potent flavor, the maturation process will need to be carefully monitored to ensure the whisky doesn't become overwhelmed by the juniper notes. Overall, it will result in a distinctive and intriguing whisky profile. Gin makers will also benefit using this very rare wood. Pisco (I used a CALIFORNIAN "Pisco") ½ oz. Limoncello Liqueur ½ oz. Suze ¼ oz. Yellow Chartrueuse 1 oz. Extra Dry Vermouth Garnish: Lemon Zest - discard, and Lemon Wheel. *👌 This one is more masculine forward. *Cuts the sweetness, goes into a magnetic Lemon shock tone (phenomenon?) (it could be an affect from the artificial additive from the SUZE?) Then just dead dry palate. *Intresting complexity on the ride-along. *Way more balanced than the original spec.
