Many individuals choose Medicare supplemental plans for their robust benefits and low out-of-pocket expenses. However, these costs can increase significantly over time. If you're paying more than $300 a month, it may be wise to explore lower-cost supplemental plans, especially if you're healthy and live in a state that requires underwriting. Additionally, transitioning from Medicare supplements to Medicare Advantage plans can lead to substantial cost savings. Like everyone else in the country the independent sector will be digesting the impacts of yesterday's Budget announcements and in particular how the £40 billion of tax rises will impact on them. Undoubtedly the changes to employers National Insurance is the biggest part of that reflection and the government should be in no doubt that this cost increase will be keenly felt. In our response we reflect on the fact that the Chancellor made great play of the increase in the NHS budget but that did not include any milestones by which the public can expect to see improvements on access times. It may be that the forthcoming NHS planning guidance and/or 10 Year Health Plan sets this out but whilst the public will welcome the continued government commitment to delivering NHS constitutional standards again by 2029, including the 18-week target, there needs to be clear transparency on the journey to getting there. https://lnkd.in/ePV7t4Ad

🚨Urgent Alert: Critical Changes in Private Healthcare!🚨 Starting September 1st, the government will be enforcing 90-day terms for any private plan issued after 9/1. This drastic change could drastically increase your healthcare costs and complicate your care management. 💡 What does this mean for you? 1. Deductibles resetting every 3 months, leading to significantly higher out-of-pocket expenses. 😣 2. Frequent policy changes, causing unnecessary stress and financial burden. 3. Increased administrative hassle, making it harder to get the care you need without constant re-approval. 4. If you want longer coverage, you’re going to be forced to get Obamacare, which is all income based and penalizes you for being successful. 👎 If you’re concerned about these changes and want to avoid the headache of constantly resetting deductibles, reach out to me. We can explore options to lock in a plan for the next 3 years, ensuring stability and peace of mind. 🗣️ Concerned about these changes? This is a great explanation and advice on a confusing and important topic. Thanks Dr Johnny. Doctor's Choice #medicare
The ongoing debate between Medicare Advantage and Medicare Supplement plans has no definitive answer—it depends on individual needs. Medicare Advantage plans often have low premiums, starting at $0, in addition to Medicare Part B costs, but come with copays and out-of-pocket maximums of $5,000-$6,000, resetting annually. This could mean significant expenses in consecutive years. We advise saving the difference in premiums to create a nest egg of at least $10,000 to cover two years of maximum out-of-pocket costs. Additionally, consider policies like hospital indemnity or cancer plans for added financial security. With interest rates at 5%, self-insuring by saving might be a viable option. . . . #Medicare #Employeebenefits #Medicarecoverage #HRInnovation #HRChallenges #HR #DoctorsChoiceusa #Healthcare
