In a world that often prioritizes profit over compassion, there's a haven where humanity truly shines. Visiting Mahaavir Bhagwaan Paashu Raksha Kendra, also known as Ahinsa Dhaam, changed something deep within me. This place isn’t just a shelter for animals—it’s a sanctuary of love, respect, and peace for creatures who’ve known suffering. As I walked through the grounds, I felt a quiet yet powerful reminder of the importance of kindness toward every living soul. Seeing these beautiful animals safe and nurtured, free from harm, made me realize just how much they need us—and how much we need them. It made me question the choices we make every day, the products we use, and how easily we overlook the lives impacted by our actions. Ahinsa Dhaam showed me a different way—a path where we value life, protect the innocent, and live with empathy. I left feeling grateful but also with a sense of responsibility. Each of us has the power to make a difference, whether it’s by donating, visiting with loved ones, or just spreading the message. Imagine a world where every small act of kindness ripples outward, creating more peace for every being. What have you done to make a difference for animals? I’d love to hear your stories in the comments. Let’s inspire each other to build a kinder world. 🌍💚 . . #BaseshGala #Kindness #AnimalLove #SelflessLove #trust #linkedin #AnimalWelfare #Compassion

True Compassion Isn't Convenience: Meet the Couple Feeding Over 3,000 Parrots Every Day In an inspiring act of devotion and compassion, Mr. M V Sudarson Sah and his wife, Mrs. Vithya, have dedicated nearly a decade to feeding more than 3,000 parakeets that visit their terrace every day. Their unwavering commitment involves serving 60 kg of rice, 10-15 kg of groundnuts, and seasonal fruits daily, ensuring these birds are nourished. What stands out is the sheer selflessness of their mission. Sah estimates their monthly expenses on this act of kindness are equivalent to the EMI of a high-end luxury car, but the couple has no regrets. Much like Sekar, another bird lover who spends 80% of his income feeding animals, Sah and Vithya have prioritized compassion over convenience. The routine begins at 6:30 AM, with soaked rice and groundnuts ready to help the birds boost their water intake. Within half an hour, the flocks enjoy their feast. Sah has forgone traveling for years, dedicating himself to this daily ritual. While some philanthropists support their efforts with donations of rice and groundnuts, the couple shoulders much of this noble responsibility. This heartwarming story reminds us that true compassion is not measured by convenience but by the sacrifices we are willing to make for others. Sah and Vithya exemplify the essence of selfless giving, proving that small acts of kindness can create ripples of hope and inspiration. At VidyaSunil & Associates, we believe in recognizing and sharing stories that inspire humanity and dedication. Just as we strive to create value for our clients, stories like this remind us of the importance of creating a positive impact in our communities. #vidyasunil #vidyasunilassociates #parrots #parrotslover #goats #parrotmanofindia #compassion #compassionforanimals #CompassionInAction #compassionateliving #CompassionateCare #CompassionMatters #kindnessmatters #KindnessInAction #KindnessStartsWithin

Why 'Prakriti' and 'Karma'? It starts with the story that laid the foundation of our care for stray animals 15 years ago! Back in the day, we (The Sinha family) brought home a rabbit and named her Tuktuk. We were absolutely in love with her. Months flew by. One day, when the door was mistakenly left open, three stray dogs entered our home, chasing and scaring Tuktuk. She didn’t survive the trauma, the incident left us shattered. Pain, shock, and trauma built up. We were distraught with the dogs. But soon we realized that everything, EVERYTHING, happens for a reason. Before Tuktuk, we had never paid such close attention to stray dogs. With time, we understood that 𝐚𝐧𝐢𝐦𝐚𝐥𝐬 𝐥𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐚𝐬 𝐩𝐫𝐞𝐲 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐩𝐫𝐞𝐝𝐚𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐬—𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐭’𝐬 𝐡𝐨𝐰 𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞 (𝐏𝐫𝐚𝐤𝐫𝐢𝐭𝐢) 𝐡𝐚𝐬 𝐛𝐮𝐢𝐥𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐦. It’s not their fault. 𝐁𝐮𝐭, 𝐡𝐨𝐰 𝐰𝐞 𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐜𝐭 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐩𝐨𝐧𝐝 𝐭𝐨 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐦 𝐝𝐞𝐜𝐢𝐝𝐞𝐬 𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐜𝐡𝐚𝐫𝐚𝐜𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐟𝐫𝐮𝐢𝐭𝐬 𝐨𝐟 𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐚𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬 (𝐊𝐚𝐫𝐦𝐚). This understanding has formed the underpinning of the name of the NGO. The close relation in which Nature (Prakriti) and the fruits associated with our actions/ interactions (Karma) work together, perfectly sums up the essence of life. Flora, Fauna, natural resources, geographies, etc are part of nature, and the ways we interact with them lead to our fate. Destroy flora, for whatever cause, bear rising temperatures. Destroy wildlife, bear extinction. These are just a few specific cases, but they help us understand the sentiment. Hence, the name guides us on ℎ𝑜𝑤 𝑙𝑖𝑓𝑒 works and implies 𝐡𝐨𝐰 𝐰𝐞 𝐬𝐡𝐨𝐮𝐥𝐝 𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐤, that is 𝑤𝑖𝑡ℎ 𝑐𝑜𝑚𝑝𝑎𝑠𝑠𝑖𝑜𝑛! 🔗 More about us: https://lnkd.in/d8AuF-pP 🔗 What we do: https://lnkd.in/dv6CewpH Next Up: 'Who are the people of Prakriti And Karma Foundation?' #NGO #NonProfit #SocialImpact #Community #JoinUs #Pakf

🐄 21000+ lives. Not human, but equally precious. At Shree Krishnayan Gauraksha, we don't just shelter cows and bulls. We protect their dignity, their rights, their existence. 🏡 We're not a charity. We're a refuge. Every day, we see the gratitude in their eyes. The trust they place in us. It's humbling. It's motivating. Some might argue, "Why spend resources on animals when there are humans in need?" 🤔 Here's a different perspective. Caring for animals is caring for the environment. It's caring for future generations. It's a chain reaction of compassion. 🌍 Yes, it's not the popular opinion. Yes, it's not the easiest path. But it's the path we've chosen. Because we believe every life matters. Join our journey. Witness the transformative power of compassion. We're not just sheltering 21000+ cows and bulls. We're changing the world, one animal at a time. 🌟 Share our story. Be a part of the change. Visit Us - https://lnkd.in/excWmJb7 #ShreeKrishnayanGauraksha #AnimalRights #Environment #Compassion

I have donated to an animal rescue a few times since the start of this year. Not exorbitant amounts. But whatever I could in the moment. There is so much going on in the world, sooo much, and I keep donating to feed, house, and provide health services to cats. Yes, cats. 🐈⬛ I am sharing this not to be braggadocious, rather, to get curious about my own psyche - to invite us all to get curious. I loveeee my alma mater(s). I care deeply about body sovereignty, about health, education, literacy, Judaism and countless causes. I believe deeply in climate justice and the preservation of our parks. The arts and humanities are my soul-embodied. 🌀 And — I keep giving to kittens. KITTENS I WILL NEVER MEET. 🙈 So why am I telling this story? Whelp, we make a lot of assumptions in the fundraising profession - A LOT. What motivates someone to give isn’t always clear in a “targeted research report.” If someone scanned my passions and interests, or my social media, they might see, yes, I have a cat, but nothing overly “cat woman” ish (unless you saw my text thread with my sister ha!) But in all seriousness, I have been posting daily about the state of the world. And narrative medicine. And poetry. ✨ So what is it about cats? Am I just a sucker for animal appeals? Nah. There was no ask. Not one. Also, I have a very indirect connection to the org…I rescued mine elsewhere. So what is it? I couldddd tell you about the foster videos I have seen, the hungry mama cats, the emaciated kittens, but I am more curious… What’s the lesson here for us? What we see vs what we do? What we think we know about someone vs what they actually feeeel? What can we learn from our own giving behavior…and how might this help to illuminate our perception of others? #authenticask #purposedrivenboards #fundraising #philanthropymatters #curiosity

So here it is this year's harvest video. There are so many reasons why people find themselves homeless, in fact most people we support are homeless due to relationship break up and the inability to afford rents as a single male. To change the common tropes that homelessness is due to a life-choice or the result of self-inflicted circumstances, you have to start illustrating the realities of people facing it. Sofa Surfing is very common among the people we support but it's often hidden, most people focusing on the common representation of the 'downtrodden rough-sleeper'. This image perpetuates the idea that homelessness is a choice and is life long, rather than being transient. It suggests that these people are a 'hopeless cause' and not worth investing time, effort or money in. Listen to Jess and Pablo, they are both young, neither wanted to be homeless, both faced a combination of circumstances due to situations out of their control. They both found the help and support they needed to return to housing and lead a stable and secure life. It's a story worth listening too.. and sharing! It's world suicide prevention day today. Can we start to #ChangeTheCoversation not just on how we talk about suicide but how we talk about homelessness. We know that people experiencing homelessness are at a higher risk of ending their lives by suicide than the general population. The most recent data reveals that 13.4% of the estimated deaths of homeless people in England and Wales were registered as suicide. Of course the point is it's harvest and we rely heavily on donations at this time of the year to restock our shelves and keep our service going through winter! A small monthly donation of £25 would help us provide hot meals every day for people at our homeless centre. https://lnkd.in/eeWpnYf7 #MediaforSocialChange #Homelessness #HarvestForHope West Northamptonshire Council Alex Copeland Damon Boughen Michelle Smith Sasha Damjanovski Barbara Hodgson Richard Beards Judi Alston https://lnkd.in/es3hfWdq
