Activities such as jumping and hopping have been proposed to achieve the desired unusual or atypical strain distributions on the skeleton for women who are habitually inactive and not involved in high-impact sports, however specific protocols to optimise bone health are currently lacking. #ImpactExercise #GroundReactionForces #ProgramDesign #PremenopausalWomen #OsteoporosisPrevention #AdaptedPhysicalActivity #BiophysicalInvestigation #SportsPerformance #CombatSports #MartialArtsDesign #Peertechz #PeertechzPublications #SportsDevices #FitnessTools #ManufacturingResearch #HealthEducation #Kinesiology #SportsMarketTrends #MilitarySports #NutritionSportsExercise #PhilosophyOfSport #PhysicalExerciseHealth #PoliticalScienceOfSport #SportsFacilities #SportsMedicine #SportsInjuriesPrevention #Arthoplasty #Arthritis #AutoimmuneConnectiveTissueDiseases #CartilageRegeneration #MusculoskeletalPhysiotherapy #InjuryManagement #FootAnkleDisorders #NeurorehabilitationTechniques #NeuromotorPsychology #OrthopedicsOsteopathy #MuscleHypertrophy #SportsPedagogy #SportsBiomechanics #SportsTourism #StressManagement #TrainingJudgements #TrekkingBouldering #MeditationYogicPsychology #SportsBusiness #SportsDevelopment #SportsLaw #SportsPublicPrivateSector

TISSUE ISSUE TIP OF THE DAY! Part 1 - Strengthen Psoas/Iliacus The Psoas gets a lot of attention when it comes to back pain. Let’s look into this a little closely. It attaches to Transverse processes of L1–L5, and the lateral vertebral bodies and adjoining intervertebral discs of T12–L5, to Lesser trochanter of the femur. Iliacus, attaches to the Iliac fossa, the anterior inferior iliac spine (AIIS) to the Lesser trochanter of the femur. When these muscles get tight, they cause issues with the spine lower back and hip/pelvis area. Sometimes these muscles when tight, need to be stretched, but there are times these muscles are tight/weak and need to be strengthened. The tightness that’s happening is that it’s weak in that area and the body is in protection mode so the area won’t get injured. The right evaluation will let you know if they are weak or not. Basic hip flexor strengthening exercise. Pending how weak these muscles are…start off with one set of 10. Progress to 2-3 sets of 10. 1. Start in a plank position with your palm of your hand inline with your shoulder. Keeping a neutral spine from head to toe. 2. Slide your foot and flex one hip as far as you can go without rounding the lower back. Then extend the leg as far as you can go, while sliding the foot back. After one side is complete…repeat on other side. Oh yes, did I mention to STAY HYDRATED!! 💧 Remember... Take Care of You before It Takes Care You! . . . #psoas #iliacus #strengthening #strength #backpain #lowerbackpain #pelvis #spine #hipflexion #myofascialstretching #eldoa #neurokinetictherapy #selectivefunctionalmovementassessment #functionalmovementscreen #breathe #neurological #hydration #activereleasetechniques #deeptissuetherapy #correctiveexercise #kinesiologytape #movewellmoveoften
