From SPE 36425, a graphic showing the importance of rate of dynamic fluid loss from18.5 ppg cesium formate fluids on ROP while drilling sandstone. Note that rate of dynamic fluid loss from a conventional water-based hematite mud of the same density has no apparent effect on ROP - it stays dismally low.

The thixotropic nature of #Halliburton SentinelCem™ Pro cement enables the system to remain fluid while pumped into lost-circulation zones and rapidly gel when pumping is ceased. Visit https://lnkd.in/gA5gST2Z to learn how this feature helps cure losses and mitigate loss of costly drilling fluid to the formation.

*Stuck Pipe Question:* While drilling 12 1/4" hole at 7.500' with 30'-60' conventional string + PDC Bit, after making connection to continue drilling ahead the drill string became stuck, the mud weight was 14.5 ppg, OBM, type of formation that was drilled: shale. Important Question maybe asked; can we take a differential stuck in the shale formation ? shale formation can be stuck differentially? any special characteristic of this formation ?
