SUMMER & SUNSHINE IS ARRIVING & WHILE THIS CALLS FOR UNDRESSING EVERYBODY TALKS ABOUT LAYERING – SO WHAT IS LAYERING ? Layering in this context has nothing to do with clothes or (un)dressing. 😉 LAYERING in my post refers to one of the hot & really good cosmetic trends. It manifested years back in Asia, where women finish their face care routine by dabbing a little bit of a light textured but powerful SBF lotion onto their facial skin. This final touch in their daily routine (as UV effects us any season & every day !) is something really good as it gives protection from sunburn, wrinkles & helps even to prevent skin illnesses like cancer. And as our world is more and more one, as we share more and more knowledge & learn there is also now also an increasing (UV) awareness across Europe & this manifests in the layering trend here ! Already last year we saw more than 100% of segment growth here in Adriatic region & there is no stop in 2024. NIVEA SUN 🌞 - the leader in Sun Care & UV protection - answers this trend by combining light SPF lotions with dedicated formulas for different skin needs. And makes we make these beautifully visible : I am very proud about the instore executions 💙in permanent shelf as well our strong & partly really innovative activation placements (pls just see our great „parasites” !). Big compliments to Miloš Milosavljević & team, to Radovan Drakulić & team and to our Man of the Sun Miloš Erić & of course our magic SCMs Karmen Denkovski & team. For me personally : Layering is one of the important global cosmetic trends which not only creates business opportunities but which especially makes a difference in consumers lives as it allows to enjoy good times in the sun everyday, everywhere & fully worry-free. Lets layer & enjoy ! #Beiersdorf #leadership #Sun #skincare #UV #SPF #NIVEA #FaceCare #Trend #excellence #execution #instore

Trends to follow closely! Brands should focus on delivering multi-functional products and anti-aging solutions to meet the evolving preferences of male consumers
"In #skincare, desired functional product claims such as moisturizing/hydrating (+7%), #sun protectant / #SPF (+7%) and #skin brightening/luminosity/radiance (+7%) saw a strong rise in interest from U.S. #male #consumers between 2022 and 2023, with other features such as texture improving/evens skin tone (+4%) and skin plumping, lifting or firming/anti-sagging (+3%) also seeing a steady rise (Euromonitor International’s Voice of the Consumer: Beauty Survey, fielded June to July 2023)." In this preview of our July/August issue, Guangmei Yang of Euromonitor International breaks down trends in the growing #male #grooming space, particularly amid high-profile launches from Lebron James and Jake Paul. ⬇️⬇️⬇️⬇️⬇️⬇️⬇️⬇️⬇️⬇️⬇️⬇️⬇️⬇️⬇️⬇️⬇️

I recently came across a discussion about when to apply sunscreen – before or after makeup – and was shocked that many people apply it before, which could reduce its effectiveness. I thought it was common knowledge that sunscreen should go on after makeup, but maybe I'm wrong? Since that discussion, I’ve been asking friends randomly when they apply makeup. I was disarmed to learn some of my friends don't even wear sunscreen at all when they use makeup! Living in Queensland, sun cancer capital of the world, sunscreen isn’t optional. In Australia, sunscreen is highly regulated, and while many makeup products contain SPF, it must be under 15% (and a secondary claim) to be classified as a cosmetic product, which isn't enough for proper protection. In Australia, all of our products with an SPF rating must undergo extensive testing before determining a rating. If you want your product to claim sun protection, it must be tested by a TGA-approved lab. I'm currently working on a moisturiser with sunscreen (under 15% so still a cosmetic), but I haven’t shared the process because I know a few home formulators and DIYers follow me and under no circumstances should sunscreen be made at home. DIY sunscreen isn't safe. My formula will undergo proper testing before it's ready, but that’s a long way off. Working with UV filters is tricky. I’m using Tinosorb® S, Uvinul® A Plus, and Homosalate, and so far, it’s passed some stability tests. I might need to tweak the oil phase, but I’m happy with how it's turning out. It feels light, absorbs quickly, and leaves the skin soft – still a work in progress, but no major failures yet! #ThisFormulatingLife #Formulator #Formulating #CosmeticScience #UVFIlters #DoNotTryThisAtHome #CosmeticFormulating #FormulatingSkincare #FormulatingCosmetics

Peels, peels, and more peels! Yes, you can apply a peel directly after nano needling or nano channeling as it actually is, as there are no needles involved in the nano treatment. You can also add a peel directly after microneedling, BUT please be very careful doing that. It can get VERY SPICY. I would only apply a peel if you have treated this patient many times you know their skin, and you know that they have prepped and using great skincare at home. I would start with a milder peel like Tretinoin Solution 5%, but all of this is in the peel course on our website 🙂 #chemicalpeel #Skincare #SkinRejuvenation #exfoliation #AHApeel #alphahydroxyacidpeel #betahydroxyacidpeel #BHApeel #glycolicacid #glycolicacidpeel #lacticacidpeel #salicylicacidpeel #lacticacid #salicylicacid #TCApeel #mdneedlepen #professionalskincare #esthetician #skincarecourse #onlinecourse #beautycourse #facialtreatment #AntiAging #skincareeducation #nanoneedling #nanochanneling #Estheticiantraining #Onlineskincarecourse #Antiagingtreatments #Microneedling

Tried & Tested: Airyday vs. Omnilux – Which LED Mask Wins? 🌟 After testing both the Airyday and Omnilux LED masks, I wanted to share my thoughts and why Airyday became my top choice. Here’s a breakdown: Comfort & Design: Omnilux sits directly on your eyes and face, which can feel a bit too close for comfort, whereas Airyday has soft borders around the eyes for a more comfortable fit—perfect for longer use. Versatility: Airyday offers two customizable LED light masks in one device to tackle multiple skin conditions, from rejuvenation to acne. In contrast, Omnilux requires two entirely separate masks—one for rejuvenation and one for acne, adding to the cost and complexity. Cost-Effectiveness: With Airyday, you get the best of both worlds—one mask that works for both mum and daughter, covering anti-aging and acne in a single solution. I have been amazed by the results Airyday has delivered for managing teenage acne—truly impressive! Although I’ve only tried the rejuvenation Omnilux (and not the acne-clear version), for the cost, Airyday’s multi-functionality offers incredible value. That’s my take! Would love to hear your thoughts—anyone else tried these? #LEDMasks #Skincare #TeenageAcne #AirydayVsOmnilux #SkinRejuvenation #BeautyTech #TriedAndTested
