We are thrilled to share that our Chairman, Commodore Rod Walker, has been honoured for his remarkable charitable contributions through the Bathgate Walker Trust. At the start of his 60th year of leadership at Bathgate, it feels right to make his charitable contribution to society the first of our posts for this important year. Rod's generosity has made a significant impact, particularly in his home region, the North West, and at Liverpool Cathedral. On July 21st, Rod, his wife Ann, and the Trust were recognised during The People’s Service, celebrating the 100th anniversary of Liverpool Cathedral. A plaque was unveiled next to the 'Liverpool Bell' to commemorate their enduring support. Dean Sue's words from the service resonate with all of us: "The bell is a symbol of faith, unity, and generosity. We honour and give thanks to Commodore Roderick Walker and Ann Walker, whose benevolence has enriched Liverpool Cathedral and uplifted local charities." Rod Walker continues to be an inspirational figure, exemplifying generosity and leadership.
