Our aim is to enhance the quality of cell state assessment and prediction, paving the way for more efficient and reliable energy storage solutions for automotive. Our four research challenges are: 1️⃣ Increase Model Accuracy: Enhance battery multi-physical and system models suitable for integration into digital twins. 2️⃣ Improve State Estimation: Boost the precision of battery internal state estimation using advanced modeling and digital twinning techniques. 3️⃣ Implement and Scale: Develop and test new estimation methods, ensuring scalability to system-level applications. 4️⃣ Innovate Thermal Management: Evaluate intelligent distributed thermal management systems to equalize or manage battery cell degradation within a system. 🚀 We are seeking collaborators who are passionate about pushing the boundaries of battery technology. 🚀 Reflecting on a Key Milestone in My Research Journey! 🚀 A year ago, I had the honor of publishing my paper, "Hybrid Electric Vehicle: An Overview of Technology," in the International Journal of Electrical Power and Machine System on the STM (Scientific Technical Medical) Journal platform. I’m excited to finally share this work with my network, as it represents a significant step in my exploration of sustainable automotive technologies. This paper delves into the fascinating world of hybrid electric vehicles (HEVs), examining the underlying technology that makes them a viable solution for reducing emissions and conserving energy. I conducted an in-depth analysis of how hybrid systems seamlessly integrate electric motors with conventional internal combustion engines. The research highlights the efficiency gains, performance improvements, and environmental benefits these systems offer. In addition to breaking down the mechanics of how hybrid vehicles operate, the paper also explores the challenges faced by this technology, including battery efficiency, cost constraints, and infrastructure needs. I aimed to provide a comprehensive overview that not only discusses the current state of HEV technology but also anticipates future developments that could further drive the adoption of cleaner transportation methods. Although this publication came out a year ago, the insights and knowledge gained from this research remain highly relevant in today’s context of rapidly evolving automotive technology. Innovation in Induction Motor Control: My Research Journey I'm proud to present my research on the "Optimized Fractional Order Proportional Integral Controller (FoPID)" for induction motors in electric vehicles (EVs). This paper introduces a sensor-less speed estimation method that significantly enhances torque control, marking a leap forward in EV technology. The novel "Wolf based Elephant Herding method (W-EHA)" optimizes the FoPID parameters, outperforming traditional methods with a remarkable reduction in Root Mean Square Error (RMSE). The results demonstrate a 53.89% to 38.96% improvement over existing approaches, showcasing the potential of this hybrid optimization technique. This journey has been one of collaboration and discovery, and I am grateful for the support of my mentors, colleagues, and the research community. 🔋 IMPACT unveils a functional prototype of a heavy-duty battery pack based on semi-solid cells! 📢 We’re excited to announce that Bartek Kras, Ph.D., Vice President of Impact Clean Power Technology S.A., will attend the upcoming #SolidStateBatterySummit in Chicago, where he'll discuss the design considerations of our heavy-duty battery pack prototype featuring semi-solid cells. 🚀 At #IMPACT, we stay ahead of the rapidly evolving battery market by continuously testing and evaluating new solutions. One of the most promising advancements in battery systems is solid-state technology. However, all-solid-state cells have not yet achieved the level of maturity required for widespread adoption in the automotive and heavy-duty markets. A promising alternative is the semi-solid-state cell, which bridges the gap between all-solid-state and standard cells. 🚍 That is why we have developed a functional prototype of a heavy-duty battery pack utilizing semi-solid cells.
