Pythia Events Press Release Pythia Events In Association With Arena Racing Company, Chepstow Events and BATTLESPACE Publications Announce The Launch of ‘Protecting Critical Sporting Infrastructure’ Conference and Exhibition November 6th 2024 Chepstow Racecourse On Chepstow Military Raceday Dive into the future of drone technology & security at the UK’s premier Counter-Unmanned Air Vehicle/Counter-Unmanned Air System (C-UAV/C-UAS) Exhibition & Conference. Pythia Events is delighted to announce the launch of ‘Protecting Critical Sporting Infrastructure,’ to be held at Chepstow Racecourse prior to the Chepstow Military Raceday on November 6th 2024. Counter drone is a hot topic in Government, there is renewed and increased focus on this subject with commitment to delivery at all levels of Government and Home Office. From the formation of new Police powers and private security legislation, infrastructure and venue protection to tracking and detection requirements to be built into drones at point of manufacture. *Collaborate with policy makers, government agencies, and industry stakeholders who shape drone regulations and policy. *Stay ahead of the curve with access to the latest innovations and trends in C-UAV/C-UAS technology and security. *Forge strategic partnerships and alliances to enhance national security and safeguard critical infrastructure against evolving threats posed by unmanned aerial systems. Gain unparalleled access to key stakeholders and potential partners. Engage with a targeted audience seeking solutions in C-UAS. evaluate the current landscape and inform future thinking and research. Our C-UAS Exhibition and Conference in the UK serves as the nexus where academia, policy makers, government officials, industry leaders, innovators, and drone manufacturers converge to shape the future of aerial security. As Paris builds up for hosting the forthcoming Olympics, a prime focus is the development and fielding of C-UAS systems to manage the skies over the venues and stadia, protecting them from a myriad of drone threats. A key factor in urban C-UAS scenarios compared to battlefield C-UAS is the limitation of the usage of kinetic and EW defeat systems. Urban sporting events require specialist C-UAS systems which can defeat the drone threat without damaging the infrastructure or jamming the radio spectrum. The Conference is supported by BATTLESPACE Publications who will produce an issue for the event with special distribution during the event. This 350 km/h drone will change how we view F1 races… When filming an F1 car around a fast track, you need an even faster camera. That’s what came from a collaboration between Red Bull and Dutch Drone Gods, who created a drone capable of keeping up with F1 champ Max Verstappen. The FPV drone raced against Verstappen in the latest RB20 car at the UK’s Silverstone Circuit, filming the car as it sped around the track. With speeds of up to 350 km/h, the #drone gives the spectators a unique perspective, with a chasing birds-eye view. Drones are not new in the F1 scene, as the organization uses a combination of aerial filming methods to get their shots. Sustained footage is taken from helicopters that hover above the track, and up-close shots are taken by drones. However, these drones don't follow the car around; instead, they simply hover in the air taking cinematic dolly shots before the camera angle changes. Creating a drone that can follow an F1 car around like a third-person camera would be close to impossible. Not only can F1 cars surpass 350 km/h (217 mph), they are also braking, accelerating and turning at a neck-snapping rate. To match the pace, a drone must be quick, nimble, and light enough to maintain speed while carrying a battery large enough to sustain its performance throughout the lap. Additionally, the drone must be redesigned to reach higher speeds without overheating or exploding, considering the heat generated when reaching speeds of over 300 km/h. The first prototype featured a fish-shaped design and took off vertically, but flew horizontally. After testing, the design was further refined into a bullet-like shape. The Red Bull FPV Drone currently holds the record for defeating its predecessor by a factor of nearly 200 km/h. It also could potentially revolutionize the landscape of F1 filming, allowing the ability to follow cars as they race, creating an even more thrilling broadcast… Full video can be seen at the link below. Drone Racing #snsinstitutions #designthinkers #snsdesignthinking #snsct #snsmct Drone racing is a sport where participants control drones (typically small radio-controlled aircraft or quadcopters), equipped with cameras while wearing head-mounted displays -also called FPV (first-person view) goggles- showing the live stream camera feed. DJI Avata is the drone is a great choice for both beginners and experienced racers due to its durability, stability, and immersive flight experience. It also boasts a great battery life and a hover mode for those in-flight adjustments. It strikes a great balance between performance and ease of use. The most commonly used models of drones can achieve approximately 70km/h, while some top models can reach speeds of up to around 100km/h. When it comes to racing drones, they often exceed 160km/h, with the world record reaching an astonishing 360km/h. The Global Racing Drone Market size is expected to be worth around USD 2,238.1 Million by 2033, from USD 416.9 Million in 2023, growing at a CAGR of 18.3% during the forecast period from 2024 to 2033. These types of drones are called FPV drones, as in first-person view, due to the fact that the drone operator sees only what the drone sees. The best way to learn how to fly an FPV drone is to get on a simulator. These are games that allow you to practice flying a drone. Some popular ones are the Drone Racing League simulator or VelociDrone,” says Turner. These are affordable games that you can get for your console or computer. First-person view (FPV), also known as remote-person view (RPV), or video piloting, is a method used to control a radio-controlled vehicle from the driver or pilot's viewpoint. Most commonly it is used to pilot a radio-controlled aircraft or other type of unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) such as a military drone.
