🤗 Since DZOPTICS was founded in 2013, we have experienced many firsts: our first production line, our first lens patent, our first lens brand, our first customized lens solution, our first business expansion into the consumer optics product line, the launch of our new sports optics products and our first participation in major trade shows, including the first exhibition and periphery of the event... These numerous firsts have made DZOPTICS what it is today. 😉 In 2024, we begin our era in sports optics. DZOPTICS now has a wealth of experience in participating in trade fairs and exhibitions and has met entrepreneurs and interesting personalities from all over the world. They are not only friends, but also partners. REPORT: Designing a Makerspace: Safety Considerations and Strategies -- The number of makerspaces has increased 200% nationally in the last decade, with no sign of slowing down. A combination of factors is driving this growth: a shortage of workers in skilled trades; the return of advanced manufacturing to the United States, incentivized by recent federal legislation, including the Inflation Reduction Act and the CHIPS and Science Act; and the broad trend toward experiential, hands-on learning for the whole gamut of engineering education. https://lnkd.in/eY9iHfkQ

How do you transport an infant safely in an ambulance? Could your favourite underwear work as menstrual protection? And how could we facilitate electric transport at sea? These are some of the questions to which Master’s students presented their solutions at the Product Development Exhibition 2024. In the Master's programme Product development, students work in teams for one semester in a project course. The course is carried out in close collaboration with industrial partners and addresses real and current problems. The industrial partners provide the course with specific projects related to their own business, and the students’ task is to explore a solution. In addition to a project report, the solutions are presented with models and prototypes in an exhibition. “The collaboration with industry is a win-win situation in many ways. The students get the opportunity to work with a real problem and see what industry has in mind for the future. At the same time, the participating companies get fresh input, or even surprises,” says Lars Almefelt who is the examiner of the course.
