Is shooting from outside of the box a dying art in football? According to BBC, the percentage of non-penalty goals scored from outside of the box has been gradually decreasing over the past couple of decades - from 22.3% in The Premier League in 2006 to nearly half that at 12.4% in 2023/24. In the last season, this type of goals made up the lowest share of total goals in any Premier League season. Recent security incidents at the CONMEBOL Copa America 2024 final and semifinal have sparked concerns about crowd management in the US. In Miami, FL, over 7,000 non-ticketed fans caused chaos and overran gates leading to crowd crushing. Another, at Bank Of America Stadium in Charlotte, NC, Uruguay players faced security issues trying to fight fans.
