Usability should never be sacrificed for looks. While aesthetics sell, they shouldn’t overshadow functionality. Good design integrates both. This is why I love designing for enterprise software - it's a challenge but very possible! #Design #UX #ProductDesign #FormAndFunction #UserExperience

The 60/30/10 rule refers to using 60% of a dominant color, 30% of a secondary color, and 10% of an accent color throughout your design. This can be applied to everything from graphic design to home decor. Remember, simplicity is key when it comes to color selection. #DesignTip #ColorTheory #SimplifyYourColors #uxdesigner #uidesigner #ux

In the world of design, is what looks good always what's best? There is a crucial difference between aesthetic appeal and true functionality, and we need to highlight the pitfalls of prioritizing looks over usability. 𝗣𝗿𝗶𝗼𝗿𝗶𝘁𝗶𝘇𝗲 𝗨𝘀𝗮𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆: A product that looks good but fails to function well ultimately disappoints users. 𝗛𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗿𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗲𝘅𝘁: The modernist principle "form follows function" emphasizes that aesthetics should enhance, not replace, functionality. 𝗔𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗵𝗲𝘁𝗶𝗰-𝗨𝘀𝗮𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗘𝗳𝗳𝗲𝗰𝘁: Users often perceive beautiful products as more functional, a bias that can lead to poor design choices. 𝗨𝘀𝗲𝗿-𝗖𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗱 𝗗𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗴𝗻: Effective design requires understanding and addressing real user needs through usability testing. 𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗴𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝗔𝗽𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗮𝗰𝗵: Great design seamlessly integrates form and function, making it difficult to distinguish where one ends and the other begins. #ux #design #productmanagement #designthinking

"The world of good design should be aesthetically beautiful if it can be. Users want that. Where things fall apart is when designers take aesthetics too far. Creating products that are both functional and beautiful IS possible. Just not easy. It requires an understanding of what role design should play. Those who get it, succeed." This is a great article to understand how interfaces or products should be. #Usability #UX #aesthetics #humanbehavior #designers
