What is Iskan (Yapı Kullanma İzin Belgesi) and Why Is It Important? 🏠📑 Iskan is the "technical passport" of a property in Turkey, and it serves as the legal document that confirms the building (whether residential or commercial) meets all construction standards, fire safety regulations 🔥, earthquake resistance 🌍, complies with the area’s master plan 🗺, and is ready for utility connections 💧⚡. What Does Iskan Include? The Iskan is issued by the municipality (Belediye) and appears as an A4 document with a table detailing the general technical characteristics of the property. Types of Iskan: 1. Genel Iskan (General Iskan): The permit for the entire building, ensuring all construction standards are met. 2. Ferdi Iskan (Individual Iskan): Occupancy permit for individual residential units 🏢. 3. Toplu Iskan (Collective Iskan): The new model of the "technical passport" applied to buildings completed after 2020 🏘. When Is Iskan Issued? Iskan is only issued when purchasing property in a new building 🆕, and it is essential for connecting utilities such as water 💧, electricity ⚡, and gas 🔥. Why Is It Important? Without Iskan, you cannot connect essential services to the property, making obtaining this permit a crucial step in any property purchase in Turkey. 🎉Exciting news! The Camalaniugan Bridge in the Philippines, which is 1,580 meters long and features a two-main-span three-low-pylon cable-stayed bridge design (82.5+2x157+82.5m), was successfully closed. Know more: https://lnkd.in/gv9Qp6yi Our Boyoun form travelers are playing a crucial role in the construction. With added wind loads in the structural calculations for stability in typhoon areas, they have withstood multiple large-scale typhoons, proving their reliable quality. The form travelers also take into account the local stress of concrete for the low-pylon cable-stayed bridge, with strengthened structures and some components designed to reduce costs. And don't forget, the main components undergo tensile tests before leaving the factory to ensure they meet design standards. Once completed, this bridge will solve the long-standing problem of lacking a connecting road between the east and west banks of the Cagayan River in northern Cagayan Province. It will enhance connectivity between surrounding cities and the Ilocos Region and set a benchmark for future bridge constructions in the Philippines. As the "Belt and Road Initiative" continues to deepen, Boyoun is eager to seize opportunities and collaborate with domestic and foreign customers to contribute to the global infrastructure cause. 😊 #CamalaniuganBridge #Infrastructure #Philippines #BeltandRoadInitiative

This photo reflects a troubling image of the construction sector in Cyprus: it portrays an industry struggling to align with modern standards, affecting not only the environment but also efficiency and safety. Despite its significant economic contribution, the sector's current state raises questions about the justification behind high housing costs, particularly in Limassol, and extends to broader challenges in meeting economic and social demands, such as affordable housing. Eswatini’s Ministry of Public Works & Transport has appointed India’s LEA Associates South Asia to update the feasibility study and detailed designs for the project to upgrade 51.4km of roads along the country’s northern road corridor in the Hhohho region. Over the course of six months, the firm will study the feasibility of improving the Pigg’s Peak-Bulembu (MR20) road, which runs to the border with South Africa, and the Pigg’s Peak-Bulandzeni (MR2) route from gravel to surfaced roads. The feasibility assessment will include economic, technical, environmental and social studies, along with the preparation of detailed engineering design and tender documents. Mubarak Al-Kabeer Port Expansion Approved by Municipal Technical Committee Shipping Arabia, October 11, 2024 — The municipal technical committee has given the green light to a significant expansion plan for Mubarak Al-Kabeer Port on Bubiyan Island, following a proposal from the Ministry of Public Works. The decision marks a key development in enhancing Kuwait's maritime infrastructure. Engineer Muneera Al-Ameer, a spokesperson for the committee, confirmed that the expansion proposal adheres to all necessary conditions, amending a previous allocation issued in April 2006. The request, initially submitted in 2018 but unaddressed at that time, has now been approved to expand the port's total area to approximately 11,616.195 hectares. The expanded area will include various zones: a maritime navigation zone, seaport zone planned in three phases, port services zone, connecting road, government uses zone, free zone, light industries zone, a temporary support zone for storing construction and excavation materials, and a protection area for the regional road and railway. The committee underscored the importance of compliance with environmental protection laws and stressed the need for coordination with relevant governmental bodies, including the Silk City Development Authority. It has also authorized the concerned administration to adjust the new boundaries as per the approved plans. Al-Ameer highlighted the project’s significance, stating, "Such large-scale projects are key drivers of the economy, and with Kuwait's strategic location on the Arabian Gulf, this expansion is set to transform maritime and commercial transportation in the region." She emphasized the aim to bolster Kuwait’s role in seaport management and operation, thereby supporting the national economy and reinstating Kuwait’s historical prominence in the maritime sector.
