ALBA GOLD Alba Gold has been up-dated in our recent research on www.gold-invest.co.uk Alba Mineral Resources plc (Alba) is a mineral exploration and development company with a diversified portfolio of mining assets and oil & gas investments. This is a "first cut" assessment of the Alba gold assets in north-west Wales. Alba has the exclusive exploration rights over the entire length of the prolific Dolgellau gold belt in north-west Wales. The company is actively involved in exploration in both the Clogau gold mine and gold targets on the Dolgeliau gold belt.. The Clogau, or St Davids Mine in north-west Wales produced some 78000oz of gold before closure in 1911. Alba owns 100% of Gold Mines of Wales Ltd (GMOW). GMOW in turn owns the Clogau St Davids gold mine. The company is re-opening the Glogau St Davids gold mine and carrying out an exploration programme in the area which will support establishing the mine for commercial production. The probability of re-rstablishing the Clogau Gold Mine is high for the following reasons: 1.Alba is carrying out the first scientifically based exploration programme on the highly prolific Dolgellau gold belt 2. Diamond drilling to date is likely to have intersected depth extensions of known payshoots. 3. Recent sampling has reported far higher than expected values from Llechfraith 4 level. 4. The above confirms the probability that an underground mine could be established, based on information to date. 5. Planning permission to re-open the Clothau and Gwynfynydd mines is unlikely to be withheld given the mining history of the area. The above estimate of the Clogau mine value is based on published information and RBG Investment estimates. The RBG estimate should be regarded as indicative only.The project however seems robust. The estimate assumes production will commence during 2024.
