The behind-the-scenes of a fashion shoot isn't very glamorous. When the shoot starts, everybody is nicely dressed. But as the time starts to pass by... Our CEO, @CarolynStern had no idea how much goes into creating an online course! It's not just about putting the content together or getting things right on camera—there’s everything from booking the space, setting up lights and audio, to hair, makeup, set design, and picking outfits (which she loved because, well, who doesn’t love shopping for clothes?). Then comes the editing process, where all the little mistakes are fixed, and everything is polished to perfection. Since these photos were taken, Carolyn has even built her own studio at home to make things easier. NEXT IN DIGITAL FASHION. THE PHOTOSHOOT. Meet Zoe Zero. Photoshoots are an essential part of fashion life. Get in the studio, snap some shots. But not when you're digital. That's just not how the game works. Wrong. This is how it works when you're a 19 yr old e-girl doing a photoshoot for a satirical 1970's style sexist car ad. And yes, this is ironic. But Zoe is a real character. She's done quite a few videos already. But you haven't seen them. As always, what we're trying to do is take real-world scenarios and give them the real-time treatment. Zoe is still in development but I'm genuinely shocked by how compelling she can be and this is with no cleanup, no post processing, this is exactly as it came out in realtime. Obviously so much of that is the performer as well but can we bring fashion to life this way? Here are 5 reasons you should make the most of your shoot with video calls… I offer you as many video calls as you need before your photo shoot with my full and half days. There are a few different reasons for this: 1. Confidence coaching We work together to build the confidence you have in yourself, and in front of the camera. 2. We get to know each other Having a relationship before I get my camera out is so important to build trust. You become infinitely more comfortable and we understand one another. 3. Shoot strategy We work out exactly how your shoot is going to go having worked out poses, locations, wardrobe, accessories, branding, hair and make up and more. 4. Mood board You receive a mood board so that we have a visual to follow on the day. Going over that pre shoot is really helpful. 5. Better photos A few people recently have not taken full advantage of these calls, and it’s much harder for them to choose the final photos as we didn’t do the confidence work. So make sure that when you’re offered something within an offer, that you take them up on it!
