Meet one of the newest members of the Begoma team, Anders Eklind - Traffic Manager and Team Leader! We’re excited to have Anders on board, bringing his expertise and leadership to strengthen our team. With over 40 years of experience in the industry, Anders Eklind brings valuable expertise to Begoma. Driven by increasing revenue and finding new customers, his position as Traffic Manager and Team Leader suits him well. Reading Anders Eklind’s resumé is like taking a deep dive into the world of logistics and transportation. Having been in the industry since 1982, he has experience from several different roles in different companies. Despite this, Anders is humble regarding his own achievements. – I started in this business by chance, and to be honest – I still don’t know what I want to do when I grow up, he says jokingly. Throughout his career, the positions Anders has had have varied from importer, freight forwarder, and traffic manager to becoming a co-owner of a transport company. As a part owner of the company Swedlink, and after selling his shares to a German logistics firm, he continued to work as a Traffic Manager at the same company for several years. Then, Anders decided it was time for a change. In September 2024 he started his position at Begoma as Traffic Manager and Team Leader. – Begoma is privately owned, with a dedicated board that understands the ins and outs of the daily work of its employees. Fast decision making with a steady focus on how we can improve for our customers suits me very well. These are some of the key reasons why I decided to join, says Anders Eklind. In Anders’ roles at Begoma, one of his main assignments is to improve the service groupage cargo and acquiring new partners and customers for the company. – My experience has taught me to be driven by increasing revenue and finding potential customers. If your service is excellent but you struggle to turn a profit, something has got to give. Finding new ways to stay profitable is something I always aim to achieve here at Begoma. Tweaking and adjusting details to ensure that a company keeps being profitable is something I’m quite good at. As a Team Leader, Anders oversees a team of people that he works closely with on a day-to-day basis. – Working in logistics and transportation is teamwork in and of itself. You cannot achieve great things on your own, he says. Anders Eklind lives in Trelleborg together with his wife and has two children. The passion for golf is on the back burner ever since a back injury has made it hard for him to practice golf swings. Nonetheless, he enjoys staying active in his spare time and describes himself as a person who just cannot sit down in the same spot for too long.
