Last December, our members generously donated £3,788 to help over 100 widows in Malawi build sustainable livelihoods. With this support, our incredible partner, Jacaranda UK Foundation, has been able to provide a six-week, locally-led entrepreneurship course and access to interest-free microloans. We're thrilled to share that 106 widows have now graduated from the program, gaining the skills and confidence needed to start their own businesses or secure employment. These courageous women, who have faced immense challenges, are now creating brighter futures for themselves and their families. The impact is profound—many graduates are now homeowners, sending their children to school, and even hiring staff to support their growing businesses. This initiative is not just about economic empowerment; it’s about breaking the cycle of poverty for generations. Duncan Darroch, the founder of Jacaranda UK Foundation, beautifully captured this spirit: "What is particularly inspiring about the Be One Foundation’s model is that it is one community helping another. The two may never meet, but the impact will be long-lasting, creating a ripple effect for generations." A heartfelt thank you to our members for making this possible. Your support is truly changing lives. #Empowerment #SustainableDevelopment #WomenInBusiness #Malawi #Charity #CommunityImpact

At MicroLoan Foundation USA, our vision is a world where individuals facing poverty are equipped with opportunities to build better lives for themselves and their families. The core of our mission is centred on providing the poorest women in sub-Saharan Africa with the tools and skills to work their way out of poverty. We are so grateful for your support and financial donations. They help us to transform the lives of women who are financially excluded and living below the poverty line in Zambia, Zimbabwe and Malawi. If you support our vision and would like to support our work, please would you consider giving to MicroLoan Foundation on a regular basis? Microfinance is not a quick fix, but rather a long-term, sustainable solution to severe poverty. Many women continue working with MicroLoan Foundation USA for multiple loan cycles, seeing incremental changes as their businesses begin to thrive. By donating a fixed amount each month or quarter, we are able to support women for as long as it takes. We understand that times are tough right now but even a small amount given regularly will make a huge difference to women, their families and their communities. While a larger one-off donation may seem difficult to afford, spreading your giving across the year can help you manage your budget more effectively. Will you join us in making a lasting impact? What do the back of a bus 🚌 and a charity have in common? Well, that’s where Humanity Calling was born! A group of strangers on a humantarian trip to Malawi. None of us knew each other, but we were united by a shared passion to make a difference. Five years later, what started on that bus has grown into something incredible. We are still entirely volunteer run, and looking back on what we have achieved fills me with pride and gratitude. Here’s a glimpse of what we have achieved so far: • 🌍 Established projects in 6 countries • 🚰 Provided clean water to 50,000+ people through tube and solar wells • 👶 Supported 30+ orphans every month for the past 5 years • 🏘️ Built homes through our Model Village initiative • 🍽️ Fed over 100,000 people • 👁️ Restored sight to over 1,000 people • 💼 Set up livelihood projects to empower communities • 🕌 Built 20+ mosques • 📚 Supported education institutions • 🏠 Provided annual support for the UK homeless What makes it even more amazing is that we have done all of this while balancing full-time jobs. With a limited budget, we have relied mostly on word of mouth to raise over £1 million! Alhamdulilah (All praise to God). 🙏 I will be sharing more about our journey and the exciting projects we are working on in the coming months. #Charity #NonProfit #VolunteerWork #GivingBack #SocialImpact #Empowerment #MakingADifference #GlobalProjects #HumanitarianAid

In South Africa, we’ve witnessed incredible resilience in the face of hardship. From overcoming the legacies of apartheid to battling economic inequality, South Africa’s non-profit organizations (NPOs) have been at the forefront of creating tangible change. They are the driving force behind community development, providing education, healthcare, and essential services to those who need it most. Despite the challenges, these organizations are transforming lives—one project, one person, one community at a time. They are proof that change is not just possible, but inevitable when there is a collective will and a commitment to justice. At Forefront Leadership, we are proud to support South Africa’s NPOs by providing Advisory & Consulting, Capacity Building, Strategy Development, and more. We believe in empowering these organizations to continue their important work and drive lasting, systemic change across the country. Let’s continue to stand together for justice, progress, and equality. South Africa’s future is in our hands, and together, we can build a brighter tomorrow. ❌ 251 MILLION ❌ That is the number of children and young people worldwide who are out of school. 📍🌍 Worryingly, in sub-Saharan Africa, the number of children not attending school has risen by 12 million since 2015. This troubling trend highlights the need for urgent need for targeted investments in education. Without prioritising funding for education — particularly for the most vulnerable regions, like our partner communities in Kenya and Tanzania — achieving equitable, quality education for all will remain an elusive goal. 🤝 Be part of the change now by: ✔️ Sponsoring a student: sotheycan.org/sponsor ✔️ Getting involved as a business: Email emily@sotheycan.org ✔️ Joining the 2025 1HumanRace: sotheycan.org/1humanrace ✔️ Signing up to 1inaMillion: areyou1inamillion.org ✔️ Making a one-off or regular donation: sotheycan.org/donate Find all of the links in our bio. #educationforall #sotheycan #educationmatters #endchildpoverty #endpoverty
