With previous experience as MEP Services Manager in Cambodia, he joined us at Saint-Gobain in 2021 as a Technical Engineer for CLIMAVER®. I'm the preferred contact for technical training with distributors and customers. I conduct market research and provide technical support – resolving issues and answering questions whenever needed. It's pleasant because it allows me to share my knowledge in the field of MEP with our customers and prospects, which makes me a credible interlocutor. It also allows me to meet new people, and together, we learn and share insights and ideas. My biggest challenge is introducing a product as new as our CLIMAVER® self-supporting duct to the market. In Cambodia, the standard solution for air conditioning duct systems is an insulated metal duct with a duct wrap. People are familiar with both its design and installation techniques. However, we are receiving positive signals from the market once they become aware of our CLIMAVER® self-supporting duct solution. What is the best in MEP coordination? ➕ I every day learn something new - there is no boredom ➕ I am never good enough - I have room for development ➕ Someone always asks me a question I don't know the answer ➕ Someone always says something that I have no idea ➕ The projects come from different Developers, Architects, and Engineers, and each of them does it differently ➕I meet people who impress me with their knowledge and experience. ➕ Working with different General Contractors and Subcontractors is full of surprises. ➕ Working with the Field Team allows me to confront design ideas with reality What is the hardest part of MEP coordination? ➖ Accepting own limitations and the limitations of other people ➖ A very high pace of work, which forces lowering work standards ➖ Unprepared projects that result from endless changes and cause endless changes ➖ 12-16 hour workday, 7 days a week ➖ High level of stress, related to the constant lack of time ➖ The constant "chasing of the rabbit" leaves no space and time for thinking Considering the pros and cons, I can't say whether I really like this job...
