Important Information for Customers Using the Port of Felixstowe🚚🚨 Starting October 1, 2024, the Port of Felixstowe will officially replace its current Vehicle Booking System (VBS) with the new Container Booking System (CBS). This change is expected to impact costs, flexibility, and operational efficiency for hauliers. Key changes: 🔹12-Hour Notice Requirement: Import bookings must now be made at least 12 hours in advance, reducing the previous flexibility. 🔹Late Notification Period (LNP): Charges may apply if bookings are altered within 12 hours, affecting those managing last-minute clearances. 🔹Additional Charges: Expect fees for late notifications, no-shows, and peak-hour bookings. Felixstowe has committed to a trial period which is currently in place and will take feedback into account before full implementation in October. Unfortunately, this change will impact our UK haulage charges. 4mois the 100% happening on the 01/10 last i heard was that it had been postponed, while the charges were being reviewed? Have you guys had anything official from the Port?
