If you're in Economic Development, you should be in this program. I signed up last year without any real goals or ideas of what it could do for me, but I figured it would be a good way to make new connections in the EcDev world. By the time I had my first meeting with my mentor, I had a lot of things to discuss and she helped me to put these into goals and action items. This past year, I navigated some tough situations in the workplace, took huge leaps in my career path, started a new job, and moved across the province. My mentor helped me to achieve all my goals and start setting new ones, and this year's program isn't even over yet. This program isn't about having someone tell you what to do, but rather it provides you an opportunity to gain different perspectives and talk out your thoughts to put them into action. If you're not sure where you're going in the EcDev world, sign up as a mentee. If you have established your career path, sign up as a mentor. Your perspectives, either as a mentee or mentor, are valuable.
