February wraps up, feeling like a year's end in just two months! How's your 2024 so far? Any lessons shaping your path ahead? This month brought valuable experiences: 1. Volunteering at a FairPrice outlet during CNY work highlighted the importance of every cent. What seems small to some is substantial to others. 2. Respect is earned. CNY volunteering witnessed customers handing food to our frontliners, showing that kindness matters more than material things. 3. At a community event, the majority assumed one choice was wisest, but a thoughtful minority's alternative proved best—a reminder to be mindful of choices. March awaits with these insights. Yesterday, myself and some members of our IDM Companies SW Team went to St. Mary’s Food Bank to volunteer. Volunteering is one of the most rewarding ways to make a difference. Whether it’s mentoring, organizing a local event, or simply giving your time to a cause you believe in, every small act of kindness creates a ripple effect. This season, I challenged myself—and encourage others—to step outside our routines and lend a hand where it’s needed most. Let’s be leaders in both action and compassion. Alright MI we have one more day! There are so many volunteer shifts and ways to get involved. I don’t like the idea of cold calling people, so I am not phone banking, but that doesn’t mean there aren’t ways to be involved. Soles to the polls helping folks get to the polling station, volunteering in the office, like I just did:), putting out yard signs, sending text messages. There are so many ways to get involved! Text a friend. Check out mobilize.us to find where and how you can volunteer in your home state or in a battleground state. No matter where you live, this election is important not only because of who’s at the top of the ticket but all of the down ballot races are the races that truly impact us on a day-to-day. Don’t know who’s on your ballot go to https://lnkd.in/equrQMVT and build your ballot so you know exactly who you’re voting for and what they stand for. Don’t be the person holding up the line at the voting booth because you need to research all of the non-partisan positions. There are SO many this year. Who are judges are, who is on our school boards all matter! Make sure you are voting for the folks that represent your values. Education, history, peace, love, joy, and an America, where we all belong. That’s what I am voting for!!
