It's just a pile of bricks....or is it?🤔 These bricks represent a huge part of our home renovation journey. They were in the cellar when we moved in almost 7 years ago...as the floor...we had to take them out so we put them all on the stairs...then took them up either through the house or up through the coal shute (we're talking more than 1000! We had to stack them by the back door. A while later I moved some next door and the rest to this part of the garden (involved steps as we're on a hill). Now if you've never moved bricks you have no idea just how hard it is! The aching, soreness and general body fatigue after moving 1000 is unreal. But it had to be done to achieve the amazing new bedroom suite we have in the cellar ...people say how much it looks like a posh hotel now 🥰 Now these bricks have been taken away by another family who will use them for their own garden. So I am really thankful I don't have to move them again 😂 But in the spirit of learning from the every day, there's something there about getting in the messy middle before things feel right. Clearing out, stripping everything right back and putting some work in to really see what is meant to be.
