YOUR BODY It took a very long time for your body to show you symptoms from poor lifestyle decisions, chronic stress, burnout and lack of awareness around emotional wellness. It held you while you were giving it hell. That consistent battering deserves to be returned with consistent love, better lifestyle choices, deep rest and love to call it back into balance. One of my favourite moments in my client work is the sentence "everything is connected!" I often say angels from heaven descend down upon me at that moment! (Kidding) But it is beautiful when people see their own body this way. They recognise the patterns that have been causing the issue. They notice the body has been calling them all this time. They see how the damage they feel needs fixed just needs to be brought into deep awareness. Then we see that our anger and frustration is making everything worse. That we are working against the tide and natural flow of our bodies. We start to see ourselves with a new compassion and in turn we begin to treat it with more love and care and stop kicking it when it's not well. We give our bodies time and understanding instead of loading it with more pills and potions in the need to get on with life and work. This is why I love what I do. Getting to the root cause takes time, patience and deep compassion but it truly is a beautiful journey. I know because it was mine too. This beautiful piece of work honours our whole life journey and helps us unpick the parts that just need more understanding. We become more connected to our bodies, minds and Souls. Our purpose and out essence. The body gave us so much time while it was compensating for all the stuff we were giving it. Now we need to give back. There is no one way,no one therapy and there are no quick fixes. Just a path, our intention.and daily steps to progress. I can tell you it works because I saw it in my own life and now those of my clients. It's an absolute pleasure to work this way. www.jotpremyogatherapy.com #bodymindsoul #rootcausepractice #rootcause #root #healtheroot #consciousness #consistency #changeworker #changingbehaviors #patterns #awareness #healthandwellness #healing #youarethemedicine #glasgowtherapy

How are you showing up for yourself today? Kids, full-time jobs, caregiving, illness, mental stress, societal worry—and the holidays on top of it all with year-end deadlines. It’s a lot, y’all. Take just 15 minutes today to show up for you. It could be as simple as closing your eyes and practicing a little "box breathing": Breathe in for 10 seconds, Hold for 10 seconds, Breathe out for 10 seconds, Hold for 10 seconds. Repeat. This technique has been shown to reduce heart rates and, for those who lean into spirituality, can help recentralize your being. It’s a moment of pure focus on something as simple and essential as the air flowing through your lungs—nourishing your body, calming your heart, and grounding you in the present. Showing up for yourself doesn’t have to be grand or time-consuming. Small, consistent acts of care add up. And when you make space for yourself, the right things tend to find their way to you. For me, showing up looks like expressing through writing, creativity, meditation, and enjoying a warm cup of tea. Wishing peace and presence to everyone in my network this holiday season. Take care of yourselves 💛 #MentalHealthAtWork #SelfCareMatters #MindfulnessAtWork #HolidayWellness #ShowUpForYourself

Emotional self-care is essential for maintaining our well-being, especially during challenging times. Here are some key aspects to focus on: Self-Compassion: Be kind to yourself. Treat yourself with the same understanding and patience that you would offer to a friend. Acknowledge your feelings without judgment and allow yourself the grace to experience them fully. Healthy Lifestyle: Prioritize your physical health as it greatly impacts your emotional well-being. Eat nutritious foods, stay hydrated, get regular exercise, and ensure you’re getting enough sleep. These habits provide a strong foundation for emotional resilience. Expressing Yourself: Find healthy ways to express your emotions. This could be through journaling, talking to a trusted friend or therapist, engaging in creative activities like painting or music, or practicing mindfulness and meditation. Self-Awareness: Take time to reflect on your thoughts and feelings. Understand what triggers your stress or sadness and recognize patterns in your emotional responses. This awareness can help you manage your emotions more effectively and seek support when needed. Taking care of your emotional health is a continuous journey. By focusing on these aspects of self-care, you can build a more resilient and balanced life. "Happy World Health Day from your Thrive family! 🌍💚 Today, we're reminded of the essential truth that caring for others begins with caring for ourselves, especially as caregivers to the seniors who depend on us. In the spirit of health and self-care, here are five ways to nurture your well-being: 🧘♂️ Prioritize Mental Health: Take moments for mindfulness, meditation, or just deep breathing to center yourself. 🥦 Nourish Your Body: Choose whole foods rich in nutrients to fuel your body and mind. 💤 Rest and Recharge: Ensure you're getting enough sleep to recover and rejuvenate. 🏃♀️ Stay Active: Incorporate regular physical activity into your day to boost mood and health. 🤝 Seek Support: Remember, asking for help is a strength, not a weakness. You're not alone. Let's take a moment to slow down and invest in our health. By replenishing our own reserves, we ensure we have the energy, strength, and compassion to be the best caregivers we can be. Here's to our health, the foundation of our ability to care for others. 💖 #WorldHealthDay #SelfCareIsHealthCare #ThriveTogether"
