These are very tough times for all non-profit organizations, especially in animal welfare. The needs grow, while the donations shrink. Somehow we have to remind people that the money spent on a fancy latte (even in pumpkin spice season) can be better used to save a life. Some organizations and companies use shock and gore. Others use extreme guilt. And we can't argue that those methods tend to work at least once on anyone. But overused they turn even our greatest advocates away. Compassion fatigue is very real. We believe there is a better way... A way to inspire, motivate, and celebrate the actions of those who do step up, speak out, and lend a hand. And we are asking you to be a part of the positivity movement that has started to sweep the nation. It is so easy to point fingers, be angry, and assign blame. It may be harder to take a higher road, but we will all be healthier, happier, and more successful long term by doing so. So take this moment to think about the volunteers, the advocates, the animal welfare teams, the fosters, the adopters, and the donors. And imagine what we could do by inspiring more people to be a part of this amazing journey we are on... together. We're Sponsor a Pet. We're the happy fundraising platform. Who else is ready for some optimism and hope? https://lnkd.in/g99HpbR6 #hope #optimism #teamwork #lifesaving #volunteerism #advocacy #spirit #togetherwecan #saveonemore

Each day of the 12 Days of Giving Challenge, we highlight our efforts to protect animals with support from donors like you! Challenge Day 1: We’re keeping families together & protecting the human animal bond to ensure no animal suffers or faces separation from the people who love them through advocacy, tools and solutions. Our Pet Food Bank Interactive Map, connects families to vital resources so their pets remain fed and cared for. Our Pet-Inclusive Housing Petition, backed by an incredible 19,579 signatures – the second most signed petition in the House of Commons, is a powerful testament to how deeply Canadians value the human animal bond by speaking up for housing policies that ensure pets remain with their loved ones. Our programs actively drive change through the expansion of human sheltering to include pets, so that the most vulnerable fleeing violence have options and can reach safety with all their family members TOGETHER. No one should choose to stay and be harmed or leave their beloved animals behind to suffer that same fate. 🐾. These initiatives and more can reduce the burden on overextended animal shelters and prevent the trauma of surrendering a cherished companion at a time when you need them most. This is just a handful of examples of the work that YOU make possible, together we CAN keep families together. Donate today and your gift will be matched x3 by a generous donor to help drive change, foster hope and make a lasting impact. 🐾❤️ Learn more: https://lnkd.in/gnR_axMA

Managing a large social media platform requires not only engaging with the public but also guiding them to the right resources. While managing TikTok and Instagram, I monitored comments and messages daily, addressing numerous inquiries about how to donate or support our organization. To streamline this, I created a LinkTree to provide structured guidance. Although social media management was not part of my job description as an Animal Control Officer, I recognized a gap in our outreach efforts. I found time in my busy schedule to create a company Instagram page. I utilized the platform to raise awareness by showcasing our services, providing educational resources, featuring adoptable animals, promoting upcoming events, and encouraging donations. The page quickly gained traction, and I was soon asked by management to create more promotional posts for the company. 🐾 I created the post below urging the community to donate blankets for shelter dogs. The response was overwhelming, with thousands of blankets donated—so many that our storage unit was overflowing. This success highlights the power of effective social media and community outreach. Thanks to these efforts, the shelter dogs enjoyed greater comfort, and the community united with a sense of purpose. This initiative improved the dogs' living conditions and strengthened our engagement and connection with the local community. #AnimalWelfare #CommunityEngagement #SocialMediaImpact #CommunityOutreach #NonprofitSupport #PublicRelations #AdvocacyInAction #CollaborativeSuccess

Anyone who knows me, knows my passion for animals. We all struggle at times, mentally, financially, etc. Animal Rescues are particularly hurting this year. An influx of animals causing the rescues to be full, while still trying to help with rising costs of Veterinary care, food, supplies while donations are decreasing is causing extreme stress and mental health on the management. Our communities need all our rescues and shelters, but unfortunately, some may not survive beyond this year. Please don’t forget your local rescues/shelters. Donations of supplies: food, toys, treats but also cleaning supplies, paper towels, mops, brooms etc are also appreciated. Volunteers are also needed especially fosters. A $5 donation can go along way! If everyone donated $5/month to a rescue-$60/year, the total amount would be huge and the impact in communities would be visible quickly! Picture is Baby Ali. He is wearing an 18 month toddler sock as a sweater. He is a miracle and survived due to EB Feline Rescue and Rehoming. If wanting to learn more, see their Facebook page. Lennox Legacy Rescue (Facebook: https://lnkd.in/gBit7Ybe ) is a small horse and dog rescue in Indiana. They save horses that are thrown away to meat buyers. They rescue puppies and breeder dogs that are just a commodity. They need help just like so many others. #EBFelineRescueandRehoming #LennoxLegacyRescue

🎄🐾 4 Ways You Can Help Local Animal Shelters This Holiday Season! 🐾🎄 The holidays are a time for giving, and what better way to spread the love than by helping the animals in our community! Here are 4 easy ways you can support your local Michigan animal shelters this season: 1. Donate Supplies 🧸🧼 Animal shelters are always in need of everyday items like blankets, toys, cleaning supplies, and pet food. Check with your local shelter for their current needs and consider making a donation! 2. Give a Financial Gift 💵 Monetary donations allow shelters to direct resources where they are most needed—whether it’s covering medical bills, food, or rescue operations. Even a small contribution can make a big difference! 3.Foster a Pet 🏡❤️ Opening your home to a foster pet is a wonderful way to help. Fostering allows shelters to save more animals by freeing up space, and it gives the pet a loving temporary home while they await their forever family. 4. Volunteer Your Time 🙋♂️🐕 Shelters are often looking for extra hands during the busy holiday season. Whether it’s walking dogs, socializing cats, or assisting with adoption events, your time and care are invaluable. Together, we can make this holiday season a little brighter for the animals who need us most. 💕 Let’s spread the joy and show our furry friends they’re loved! #HolidayGiving #SupportLocalShelters #GiveBack

Support Our Mission: Educating the Public Through Inspiring Films Help Us Bring the Heroic Efforts of Cat & Dog Rescuers to Light! We are dedicated to creating powerful, educational films that showcase the incredible work of rescuers across the United States. Our goal is to document their struggles, triumphs, and the critical role they play in our communities. By sharing these stories, we aim to inspire action and support from the general public to aid those who are tirelessly working to save lives and protect our beloved cats and dogs. Why This Project Matters: Raise Awareness: Highlight the challenges and dangers faced by rescuers every day, including those who work to protect and save cats and dogs. Inspire Action: Encourage the public to support and get involved with rescue efforts, particularly in animal rescue. Educational Impact: Provide valuable insights and education about emergency services and the importance of community support, emphasizing the protection of our furry friends. Our Plan: Each film will take 45 days to produce and will result in a 1-hour documentary. We plan to spend 45 days in each of the 50 states to create a detailed and comprehensive portrayal of the rescuers' efforts. Join us in making a difference. Together, we can show the world how crucial it is to support those who risk their lives to save others, including the dedicated individuals who rescue cats and dogs. Every donation, no matter how small, brings us one step closer to our goal. Donate Now and Be a Part of Something Bigger! Thank you for your support! 2 months ago, our mission took on a new dimension – supporting animal welfare. We partnered with Animalibre, an organization dedicated to rescuing and caring for animals in need. The stories of countless dogs, cats, and other creatures suffering on the streets moved us. Witnessing the transformation of these animals – overcoming fear and regaining health – is inspiring. We couldn't walk away from the opportunity to make a difference. Virtue Health helps Animalibre with donations and raising awareness for their work. However, our furry friends still face challenges. Animalibre currently cares for 100 animals, and they desperately need a larger space to thrive. How You Can Help: - Donate: Your contribution helps provide vital resources for them. - Adopt: Open your home to a deserving companion. - Share: Spread the word. Every action counts. Let's work together to create a brighter future for these animals. 📌 Donate here: https://gofund.me/1129584d #animalrescue #animalrights #donate

Understand how to legally structure a Non-Profit 501 (c)(3) Animal Rescue/Shelter Corporation and obtain and maintain tax-exempt status at a new CLE, "Forming the Perfect Non-Profit Animal Shelter" on April 12. The seminar will discuss issues that will likely arise with insurance coverage and potential lawsuits. It will also cover advocacy, specifically on promoting city/county lifesaving ordinances to keep pets in their homes that shelters should get their cities to adopt. 3.25 IL MCLE Credit.
