It’s that time, y’all—#GivingTuesday has arrived, the nonprofit world’s rebuttal to the consumerist nightmare of Black Friday. While Giving Tuesday is recognized globally, for me, it symbolizes the profound impact of grassroots community support—the belief that, together, we can effect real, lasting change. Big Big Table Community Café is proof of this power. In a world that prioritizes profit over people, spaces like ours are rare—when they should be the norm. Food insecurity exists not because of scarcity, but because of systemic inequities. At BBT, we are committed to fostering a space where mutual aid and community care take precedence over market logic. Because EVERYONE deserves a seat at the table. Community work is becoming increasingly difficult to sustain. If you are willing and able, please consider supporting Big Big Table today. This is about more than charity—it’s about solidarity, dignity, and justice. Learn more and donate here: https://lnkd.in/emMCXqks In a city that claims to be full of good neighbors, choose to be one not just today, but every day. And remember… it’s better to give than to receive—especially when it’s tax deductible ;) #GivingTuesday #FoodJustice #CommunityCare #SolidarityNotCharity #BuffaloNY #NonprofitImpact #PayItForward #EverybodyEats #MutualAid #DignityForAll #SupportLocalNonprofits #EndFoodInsecurity #BuffaloNY #SocialJustice #BuildingCommunity

Partnerships are the foundation of every successful CAC.
We were absolutely delighted to receive a check from Medford Food Co-op last week as their chosen Positive Change recipient for May. Huge thanks to Medford Food Co-op and all the kind-hearted shoppers who made this donation possible! Being selected as the Positive Change recipient for May was an honor, and we are so grateful for the support. The funds received will go a long way in ensuring that we can continue to offer safe and nurturing spaces, as well as highly trained staff, for the children in our direct service programs. Once again, thank you for your incredible support! #ChildAdvocacy #CommunityFirst #ShopLocal

The holidays are a time to reflect, give back, and make a difference—and we’re in the final stretch of supporting Firefly Children & Family Alliance’s Hope for the Holidays campaign. At Trustpointe, we’ve made it a tradition to fill our donation box with contributions from clients, neighbors, and friends to help families in need. Last year, this program brought joy to over 1,200 children, but there’s still work to do. 𝗔𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗼𝗱𝗮𝘆, 𝟭𝟱𝟳 𝗰𝗵𝗶𝗹𝗱𝗿𝗲𝗻 𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗹𝗹 𝗻𝗲𝗲𝗱 𝘁𝗼 𝗯𝗲 𝘀𝗽𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗼𝗿𝗲𝗱. 𝗛𝗲𝗿𝗲’𝘀 𝗵𝗼𝘄 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗰𝗮𝗻 𝗵𝗲𝗹𝗽: 1. This #givingtuesday, support High Park Zoo, a treasured community space and Canada’s oldest free zoo. The Friends of High Park Zoo are championing a 10-year Master Plan that includes exciting initiatives to enhance accessibility, improve visitor experiences, and modernize animal enclosures. https://lnkd.in/gjMuxq9k
#givingtuesday is on December 3rd. I hope you will join me in supporting Friends of High Park Zoo, a local zoo I’ve volunteered with for the past three years. For a donation of $30, we will place an ornament on a tree during our Holiday Tree and Snowflake walk event. All proceeds support our goals of improving the zoo and keeping it free and accessible to the public. See link in comments! #charity #toronto #community
