This is likely correlated to Lions Creators, a new program "dedicated to creator programming, networking, and events that was jointly led by Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity and Viral Nation." It's become impossible to ignore -- the influence and value of the creator economy is booming. Many of these creators have successfully established themselves in the world of branding, so Cannes Lions holding this space for them is a nod to their "arrival." What Casey Neistat Wants Creators to Know Content creator Casey Neistat, arguably “the godfather of viral videos,” took the Main Stage at the 2024 NAB Show to offer insights into (and a lot of strong opinions about)the evolving landscape of content creation. During a wide-ranging, hour-long conversation with Main Stage host Shira Lazar, Neistat highlighted the dilution of traditional paths to virality, emphasizing the saturated yet qualitatively improved digital content arena. You know what elevated my videos? It’s something I have loved since I was a kid. Music: It can make the difference of day and night. When audiio reached out for a sponsorship deal, I didn’t even hesitate. The idea was already in my notebook. This form of content creation is called User Generated Content (UGC).
