AAAIM and Josh Lerner/Bella Private Markets latest study highlights something that our members have been saying for many years - AAPI GPs find additional challenges in accessing Emerging Managers programs. This study findings were recently covered in Emerging Managers Monthly. AAPI managers are often overlooked by institutional investors when it comes to accessing Emerging Manager programs, despite their strong performances. The report, the fourth in AAAIM’s research series, examines the flow of capital from institutional investors and reveals that AAPI-owned private equity firms are frequently excluded or bypassed. The study also finds that these diversity and inclusive efforts in the asset management industry have worked for other communities, however the study shows limited progress in increasing AAPI AUM numbers.
