AI startups, solution providers, and vendors all play vital roles in the IT channel ecosystem. The success of this ecosystem is largely due to the entrepreneurial spirit that drives it. However, another key element is the strong sense of interconnectedness that binds these entities together.

I *love* the concept of manufactured serendipity. Today we are going to reboot the old StartupCampWaterloo model and update it with an emphasis on connecting the community. It's called the Startup Barn Dance now... we have 6 early companies ready to go. Come meet these founders and help connect them to people you know. ...and don't think your network isn't helpful. No one knows where an amazing connection might be. Why are doing this? We need to stop waiting for luck to happen. Tasha Van Vlack shared an interesting paragraph on "manufactured serendipity" that might help explain a bit better. "Manufactured serendipity is all about creating the conditions for chance encounters, insights, and connections that can lead to unexpected opportunities. Instead of waiting for luck, it’s the idea of intentionally structuring your environment, routine, or even digital space to increase the likelihood of meaningful interactions." It takes a lot of luck to build something successful. We create opportunities for luck to happen through preparation and determination. That alone isn't enough. Come build together.

Our first week building Captide in San Francisco has surpassed all expectations. Here’s why we’re so excited about it: 1. The community here is amazing. Everywhere we go there’s another founder working on something exciting. We’ve met more AI entrepreneurs in the past week than we ever did before coming here. 2. The energy is nonstop. There are so many startup events it’s hard to keep up. Staying in the loop on the latest trends, meeting other founders, potential clients, and even VCs comes naturally. 3. B2B is easier. SF is also a major business hub and companies here are more open to trying out new tech.

✨ I couldn't think of a better way to publicize that we're hard at work on our #startup Belfort, than by announcing our big win at Stage Two in Berlin last week. 🚀🚀 Belfort is building on our research at COSIC (KU Leuven). We’re on a mission to revolutionize data security and privacy, by enabling computing on encrypted data. This technology allows you to protect sensitive data by encrypting it, while still allowing computation or analysis on that data. We’re making computing on encrypted data fast and cost-effective, by deploying it on our own dedicated semiconductor chips. Last week, I pitched Belfort at Stage Two, the largest pan-European startup competition for the best startups spinning out of leading universities. In Berlin, every university’s top team competed for investment prizes. I was on stage for Belfort, pitching in front of a jury consisting of investors and industry leaders. Belfort emerged as the big winner among 50+ startups from 40+ universities. We pitched twice, once in the semi-finals and once in the finals, and went home with 4 investment prizes.🏆We secured two of the three largest €1M investment tickets*, from IQ Capital and Seaya, and two fast-track-to-IC prizes, from APEX Ventures and Armilar. SaaSBoomi was one of the best startup events that I attended throughout my life. Why? 👇 1. Made amazing connections (Aayushi Karanwal, Charith G Kashyap 🇮🇳, Ankur Agarwal) in just a span of 2 days. 2. The event was full of amazing people with great stories. 3. We got so much time to network. 4. The biggest event that had mentors, investors, and startups all in one place and ready to talk. 5. Got to learn some amazing SEO tips from best mentors like Rakesh Patel. and Jimit B.. I basically fall short of words to define the amazing experience I had in the event.
