We’ve got great news! A range of new ‘Ward Capital Projects’ to make improvements in all wards in South Ayrshire were approved at council yesterday. In addition to this, a £2m budget for promenade projects has been approved to be evenly distributed between the wards of Girvan, Ayr, Prestwick, and Troon. Our ‘Ward Capital Projects’ programme has been ongoing in all eight wards since last year, and we’ve already made great progress - read more in our press release here ➡️ https://lnkd.in/emFtsRH6

Great to attend the ‘Ipswich: A New Era of Planning’ UDIA event this morning at Brothers Leagues Club, Raceview and hear expert panelists from Government and the private sector discuss the new planning scheme and key priorities for the region. Having lived in outer western Brisbane I’ve always had a keen interest in the area’s future development and revitalisation of the Central Business District. Some key takeaways which I took from this morning’s conversation: - We are seeing some important updates to the biodiversity and bushfire overlay mapping in the Ipswich Planning Scheme 2024 which will start to be given weight; - Critical infrastructure funding gaps remain including the Ipswich to Springfield (I2S) rail line and the Ipswich Central second river crossing; - The LGA statistics show a notable difference between approved lots/dwellings and completions particularly as the cost of housing and roads has risen in the last 5 year period With the benefit of this information it’s now a pivotal time to close this gap in construction and foster an environment where industry can thrive in Ipswich again!

Cardiff Council and construction company Goldbeck have entered into a Pre-Contract Service Agreement (PCSA), taking the regeneration of Atlantic Wharf forward to the next stage. The PCSA marks a significant step in the development of smaller, more efficient County Hall; new facilities available for community use; wider regeneration of the area; and a home for Cardiff Live and the Capella project, a collaboration with the Wales Millennium Centre. https://lnkd.in/eyHZmdmu #cardiffbay

CDL is excited to be part of Melbourne's largest urban renewal project via our build-to-rent development currently under construction in the Fishermans Bend precinct. 🏢 Totalling around 480 hectares, Fishermans Bend will be home to an estimated 80,000 people by 2050 and also provide about 80,000 jobs for Victorian workers. It comprises five precincts across the City of Melbourne and City of Port Phillip municipalities with our project located in the Montague precinct. The vision for Montague is amazing! The precinct will integrate heritage and character buildings with contemporary development, capitalising on Melbourne's famous laneway culture to create inspiring places to live. CDL Australia has officially commenced work on its Normanby Road build-to-rent project in Fishermans Bend. Designed by Hayball architects and built by Crema Constructions, the development will provide 237 apartments situated just 2km from the CBD within Australia’s largest urban renewal area. Build-to-Rent housing is gaining traction in Melbourne, offering long-term rental security and lifestyle-focused living options. Positioned in the heart of the Montague precinct, the project contributes to Fishermans Bend’s transformation into a vibrant community with a $1.8 billion pipeline of development activity, expected to house 80,000 residents and support 80,000 jobs by 2050.
