Centre forms high-level committee under Defence Secretary to look into Air Force's overall capability development The committee is expected to submit its report to the Defence Minister in the next two to three months with a detailed assessment of the requirements of the force. As per ANI, the committee was formed after the IAF made detailed presentations to Defence Minister Rajnath Singh during the Air Force Commanders' Conference last month in the national capital. During the conference, the top Defence Ministry functionaries were briefed about the futuristic combat aircraft requirements along with the gaps required to be filled in the capability that the force wants to have in the coming times to tackle the threat perception faced on both the fronts. The committee has other senior members of the Defence Ministry, including the Secretary (Defence Production), Sanjeev Kumar; Defence Research and Development Organisation chief Dr Samir V Kamat; and Deputy Chief of Air Staff Air Marshal T Singh, who is the committee's member secretary. #IADN

The Marles Defence proposal is to announce massive new expenditure and capabilities beyond the 'Forward Estimates.' In other words when a Labor government have a high probability of being in opposition, not in government. This while decreasing expenditure in the immediate future. Our defence force is being degraded through lack of recruitment and training and a lack of investment when we face a volatile external environment. Announcing huge capability upgrades a decade hence is the eternal 'Mirage' of an Australian force capable of defending the nation. This tells us two important things. One: Current government expenditure programs are unsustainable Two: Unless there is a huge turn around in the economy, future planned expenditures are unlikely in defence. The NDIS, Health, Education, Infrastructure, Housing. The Green revolution have a much higher priority for Labor.

⚡️ 🇮🇳 The Indian government plans to invest heavily in ammunition manufacturing to ensure self-sufficiency and adequate reserves for long-drawn intense wars. The Ministry of Defence is developing a blueprint for indigenously produced ammunition and war reserves, aiming to keep the nation secure and prepared. The armed forces currently maintain a minimum 10-day war reserve, but experts estimate that four to five times more ammunition is needed for normal or intense engagements. The increased demand for ammunition has also led to concerns about illegal exports by Pakistan.

The AFU losses amounted to up to 410 troops, .. Two ammunition depots were wiped out. ▫️The Yug Group of Forces took more advantageous lines and hit formations of.. brigades, .. Brigade of the AFU, and .. Brigade near Razliv, Konstantinovka, Fyodorovka, Zaliznyanskoye, and Mayskoye of the Donetsk People's Republic. One counter-attack .. was repelled. The AFU losses amounted to up to 900 troops, ... One ammunition depot was wiped out. ** ▫️ The Tsentr Group of Forces liberated Krutoy Yar of the Donetsk People's Republic. ** Moreover, the Group's units damaged .. Brigades near Selidovo, Dzerzhinsk, Nikolayevka, Lysovka, Sukhaya Balka, Druzhba, and Shevchenko (Donetsk People's Republic). Nine counter-attacks .. were repelled. The AFU losses amounted to up to 635 troops, .. ▫️ The Vostok Group of Forces improved the tactical situation and delivered strikes at .. Brigade near Dobrovolye, Zolotaya Niva, and Rovnopol of the Donetsk People's Republic. Two counter-attacks .. were repelled. The enemy lost up to 125 troops, .. Two ammunition depots were wiped out. ▫️ The Dnepr Group of Forces inflicted losses on formations of the .. Brigade, and .. Brigade near Malaya Tokmachka (Zaporozhye region), Antonovka (Kherson region), and Kherson. The AFU losses amounted to up to 60 troops, .. Three AFU field ammunition depots were destroyed ▫️ Operational-Tactical Aviation, unmanned aerial vehicles, and Missile Troops and Artillery of the Russian Groups of Forces engaged AFU manpower and hardware clusters in 128 areas. Air defence units shot down three U.S.-made ATACMS tactical missiles, three U.S.-made HIMARS rockets, and 31 Ukrainian fixed-wing unmanned aerial vehicles. 📊 ▫️ In total, since the beginning of the special military operation, 646 aircraft, 283 helicopters, 32,558 unmanned aerial vehicles, 579 anti-aircraft missile systems, 18,468 tanks and other armoured fighting vehicles, 1,469 MLRS combat vehicles, 15,450 field artillery guns and mortars, and 26,765 units of support military vehicles have been neutralised https://lnkd.in/ghGrdPpv
