It’s the Friday before Christmas, and let’s be honest—none of us want to do anything today. You’ve stared at your to-do list, maybe answered a couple of emails to look busy, and now you’re thinking about whether it’s too early to grab the eggnog. (Spoiler: it’s not.) But here’s the thing—this is actually the perfect time to rest, reset, and relax. Seriously… • Rest: Close the laptop. No one’s making big moves on December 22nd. Give yourself permission to take a break—you’ve earned it. • Reset: Use this downtime to reflect on the year. What worked? What didn’t? Don’t overthink it—just let your mind wander. • Relax: Lean into the holiday vibe. Spend some time with your family, watch a cheesy Christmas movie, or just enjoy not being in hustle mode for once. Here’s the magic: Rest isn’t just about doing nothing. It’s about giving yourself space to come back stronger. Taking this time now means you’ll be more focused and productive in the new year and more present with your loved ones this holiday season. So if you’re reading this while pretending to work—don’t. Shut it down. Take a walk, grab a snack, and let yourself just be. And if your coworkers are still in “let’s push through” mode, remember: Santa only brings presents to people who rest. (Probably.) Happy Friday, friends. Go rest. #HolidayMindset #ProductivityThroughRest #WorkLifeBalance

😫 There HAS to be a better way... Thanksgiving is just around the corner, and I can already feel the collective stress. You know the feeling—that pit in your stomach as you try to plan family time while drowning in work that "has to get done." Instead of leaving early on Wednesday or taking the day off like we all should, too many will be: - Racing to finish "just one more thing" - Promising to "just check email quickly" - Working until someone literally drags them away - Spending Thanksgiving dreading Friday's return And the worst part? They will miss those precious moments with family because our minds are stuck on all the manual tasks waiting for us. Here’s the truth: It doesn’t have to be this way. Most of the work you’re doing is important—but it’s not important that YOU do it. Look around. There are people who aren’t dreading the holiday. They know they can step away and trust things will keep moving. Their secret? Delegating the mind-numbing tasks that keep others chained to their desks. And the answer to “there HAS to be a better way”? There is. It’s sitting right on your desk. That computer you use for emails and repetitive work? It can do so much more. With software automation, you can hand over those boring, repetitive tasks and let your computer handle them—while you focus on what really matters. Drop a 👋 below if you’re ready to enjoy Thanksgiving guilt-free. Let’s find your escape route from the holiday work trap. #WorkLifeBalance #ThanksgivingFreedom #ThereHasToBeABetterWay

The most wonderful time of the year… or is it? 🎅🎄 For some of us, Christmas can feel more like ‘the most overwhelming time of the year.’ From the endless to-do lists to sensory overload, the festive season can take a toll. So, how can we support ourselves and others during this hectic time? 🔹 Set boundaries - You don’t have to say YES to every invitation. Choose what feels manageable for you. 🔹 Embrace routine - Little rituals, like a quiet coffee in the morning or a walk before bed, can ground you amidst the chaos. 🔹 Offer grace - For managers and colleagues, remember that productivity might look different in December - and that’s okay. It’s not about avoiding Christmas (unless you want to of course!) - it’s about finding ways to navigate it in a way that works for best for you. #ChristmasOverwhelm #SelfCare #Neurodiversity #DivergentConsulting

The holiday season is supposed to be “the most wonderful time of the year,” right? And let’s be honest— sometimes it feels like a never-ending sprint instead. 🎅 Between last-minute work deadlines, Christmas lunch prep, gift shopping, and juggling social invites, it’s easy to feel like the magic is slipping away. But here’s the good news—you can take back control and find your calm. 🎄 1️⃣ 𝗕𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗸 𝗶𝘁 𝗱𝗼𝘄𝗻. Think of your tasks like decorating the Christmas tree. Start with the big must-do tasks (those ornaments that make the tree), move on to the nice-to-haves (tinsel if you have time), and let go of the unnecessary (sorry, glitter bombs). Prioritising helps lighten the load. 2️⃣ 𝗦𝗮𝘆 𝗻𝗼 𝘁𝗼 𝘄𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗱𝗼𝗲𝘀𝗻’𝘁 𝗮𝗹𝗶𝗴𝗻. You’re not Rudolph—you don’t have to guide everyone’s sleigh. Boundaries are your best gift this season. Politely decline extra tasks, social events, or anything that stretches you too thin. Your energy is precious. 3️⃣ 𝗥𝗲𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗿𝗴𝗲 𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹𝗹𝘆. Whether it’s sipping your favourite drink under a fan (I live in sunny Aus - this is a holiday must), a walk with your headphones on, or taking a moment to belt out 'All I Want for Christmas Is You', small resets help you refocus and re-energise. You don’t need to do everything to make it a special season. Focus on the must-dos, enjoy the nice-to-dos, and let go of the rest. 👉 𝘞𝘩𝘢𝘵’𝘴 𝘰𝘯𝘦 𝘵𝘢𝘴𝘬 𝘰𝘯 𝘺𝘰𝘶𝘳 𝘮𝘶𝘴𝘵-𝘥𝘰 𝘭𝘪𝘴𝘵 𝘵𝘰𝘥𝘢𝘺? Share it below—I’m cheering for you this holiday season! 🎁 #ChristmasTips #HolidayHustle #StayCalm #BoundariesMatter #EndOfYearStress #MindfulLiving #FocusOnWhatMatters #TracyGanduCoach

27 Dec 2024- The period between Christmas and New Year is this confusing stretch where you forget the concept of time and responsibility. You float around in a haze of leftovers and wearing pajamas all day. But then—surprise, surprise—you start to miss the work structure you were so desperate to escape during the countdown to Christmas break. Could it be that we’re subconsciously addicted to work? Maybe. When we’re working, our brains are firing on predictable neuropathways, keeping us busy with deadlines, to-do lists, and structured routines. It’s like our brains are addicted to the ‘kick’ we get from crossing off tasks or sending a perfect email. Then suddenly—bam—Christmas break arrives, and those pathways get no stimulation. Now you’re stuck in limbo, overthinking things like, “Is it normal to eat chocolate at 10 a.m.? Yes. No. Maybe?” So, in this festive no-man’s-land, we spiral. But the good news? It’s not work we miss—it’s the routine. The trick is convincing your brain that existing without a schedule is also productive. Happy 2025

With just a few days to Christmas, it’s easy to feel overwhelmed by all the buzzing notifications… Endless to-do lists, and holiday planning. Guilty as charged. But this weekend, I made a conscious choice to unplug for a few hours—and it was a gift to myself. I swapped screen time for a good book, a warm cup of tea, and some quiet moments to reflect on the year. The result? I felt lighter, more present, and even more excited for the days ahead. As we count down to Christmas, I encourage you to carve out a little time to pause, reset, and truly savor the season. Unplugging—even for a short while—can help you recharge and show up more present for the moments that matter most. So, before the festive chaos sweeps us away, ask yourself: What simple joys can I embrace today if I step away from the noise for a bit? How are you planning to unplug and recharge before Christmas?

Let’s face it—the week before Christmas is a vibe. Between holiday parties, last-minute shopping, and dreaming of eggnog by the fire, staying productive can feel like climbing Mount Everest in snow boots. But as marketers, the hustle doesn’t stop! Here’s how to keep the energy up and actually get stuff done before you swap your laptop for a pile of wrapping paper: 1. Set Tiny, Festive Goals Forget the 50-point to-do list. Choose 2-3 tasks a day, max. Bonus points if you give them holiday nicknames: “Deliver Rudolph’s Campaign Deck” or “Draft Santa’s Quarterly Email Update.” Treat yourself to a holiday treat when you crush them. 2. Lean into Holiday Chaos The office (or Zoom) feels different this time of year—embrace it! Throw on a holiday playlist, wear your ugly sweater to meetings, or bake cookies for your team. Fun = fuel. Don’t fight the festive energy; ride the sleigh! 3. Schedule “Me Time” Like a Meeting Block off an hour every day. Bring your lunch and watch a Hallmark movie, go for a walk, or just stare at a well lit Christmas tree in blissful silence. Recharging now = showing up stronger when the new year chaos hits. The holidays only come once a year, so balance that “marketer on a mission” mindset with some merry vibes. Who knows? A little whiskey inspiration might just spark your next big idea. Cheers!

It’s like Christmas magic… except the only thing multiplying is the number on the scale. If your office looks anything like most around the holidays, you know the drill: ☕️ Coffee break? Grab a handful of peanut brittle. 🎄 Team meeting? Oh look, another tray of sugar cookies. 🥂 Office party? “It’s the holidays—I’ll start fresh in January.” You’re not alone. It’s two weeks of feeling like you have zero self-control. And by the end, you’re frustrated, bloated, and already dreading the January “clean slate” you’ve done a dozen times before. Here’s the thing: it’s not about self-control. High-achieving women like you have no shortage of discipline. You’ve crushed big goals in your career, managed teams, run households, and hit deadlines no matter what. But when it comes to food, fitness, and navigating a busy life? It’s easy to fall into the “all or nothing” trap. All-in on holiday indulgence. All-out come January 1st. So here’s a thought for you this Christmas: What if you didn’t need to “start over” next year? What if you could enjoy the cookies and feel confident in your body and with your choices at the same time? The problem isn’t you. It’s the approach. You don’t need another quick fix. You need a strategy that works with your life—holidays and all. If you’re tired of hitting plateaus and swearing “this time will be different,” let’s connect. Because this January? You deserve to step into the new year feeling healthy, happy, & ahead —not starting over.
