Join us on February 5th for The View from The Top as we tackle one of the most pressing challenges in Global Mobility today - managing immigration for your existing workforce. While this population doesn't require relocation support, they represent a group that is often a lot larger than traditional mobility assignments, including employees switching roles internally, requiring visa renewals, or extending permits. We'll be joined by Benivo's Natalie Wayne and Matthew Chic to explore the innovative Immigration Management Hub, a pure technology solution that transforms how organizations handle immigration-only cases. Our discussion will cover: * The Growing Challenge of Immigration Management: Understanding why traditional spreadsheet-based tracking systems are no longer sufficient for modern immigration compliance needs * How to streamline direct data flow from your systems to immigration providers while eliminating manual steps and maintaining direct provider relationships * The importance of Real-Time Visibility: Consolidating data from multiple immigration providers into one central system, providing comprehensive analytics and forecasting * Using automation to improve cost forecasting, reduces administrative burden, and provide real-time visibility into provider performance * Using provider-agnostic technology to maintain existing immigration partnerships while gaining enhanced management capabilities With us we'll have our Changemaker Jane Rhodes from Scania Group, immigration expert Julia Onslow-Cole of Fragomen, and all the breaking news from around the industry. Join us as we explore how technology is reshaping immigration management for Global Mobility teams, making compliance tracking more efficient and strategic than ever before. #GMS #CRP #HRCI and #SHRM Codes await our viewers! #TheViewFromTheTop #Benivo

One of the overarching themes or problems with the model for "Global Mobility" - the separation of who handles the longer-term assignments, such as work permits vs who handles shorter-term business travel such as business visas. We are seeing companies increasingly grapple with the (sometimes) negative consequences of having these two functions separate and not communicating with each other. Envoy Global touches upon this in their latest podpast. Check it out. https://lnkd.in/gZUPtVAz

Our Global Immigration Program Alignment benchmarking survey fielded directly from global mobility and HR immigration professionals revealed eye-opening insights. 👁️🗨️ GM and HR immigration leaders face three key challenges when aligning immigration programs across countries, regions, and teams: 1. 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗥𝗲𝗴𝘂𝗹𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 Frequent updates to immigration laws, policies, and requirements across multiple countries create significant challenges for compliance and strategic planning. Organizations must constantly monitor and adapt to evolving regulations, which can strain resources and increase the risk of non-compliance. 2. 𝗗𝗲𝗰𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗹𝗶𝘇𝗲𝗱 𝗗𝗮𝘁𝗮 𝗦𝘆𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗺𝘀 The fragmentation of critical information across multiple systems makes it difficult to consolidate, analyze, and track employee data efficiently. This lack of integration complicates reporting, delays decision-making, and increases the likelihood of errors in global mobility processes. 3. 𝗧𝗶𝗺𝗲 𝗭𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝗠𝗮𝗻𝗮𝗴𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 Coordinating with teams, stakeholders, and service providers across multiple time zones often leads to delays in communication and decision-making. This can slow down processes, disrupt workflows, and challenge the ability to provide timely support to global employees and managers. Do you agree with the insights above? Would love to hear from you! #GMCommunity #GlobalMobility #Immigration #GlobalAlignment

In WR's latest benchmarking survey, we asked 59 global mobility leaders (representing companies with an average FN population of 404) what their 3 biggest priorities are in 2025. Here's were the most cited themes: 1. 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗹𝗶𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲: Maintaining legal compliance with U.S. and global immigration regulations, remote work, and visa processing. 2. 𝗖𝗼𝘀𝘁 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗿𝗼𝗹 & 𝗕𝘂𝗱𝗴𝗲𝘁 𝗠𝗮𝗻𝗮𝗴𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁: Reducing immigration-related expenses, managing legal fees, and ensuring cost efficiency. 3. 𝗘𝗳𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝘆: Streamlining immigration processes, improving case management, and ensuring quick turnaround times. 4. 𝗘𝗺𝗽𝗹𝗼𝘆𝗲𝗲 𝗘𝘅𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 & 𝗦𝘂𝗽𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁: Enhancing foreign national employee experience, improving communication, and providing timely support. 5. 𝗧𝗲𝗰𝗵𝗻𝗼𝗹𝗼𝗴𝘆 & 𝗗𝗮𝘁𝗮 𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗴𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻: Better integration of vendor and HR systems, improved data tracking, and increased transparency in immigration processes. ------ Of course, these priorities are all connected. The push for efficiency aligns directly with cost containment strategies—leveraging technology and partnering effectively with immigration vendors can drive significant savings. As companies head into Q4 and start planning for 2025, now is the ideal time to assess how current processes can be updated to achieve these goals. Moreover, your immigration vendor should actively suggest and help implement these solutions in your program.

In today's global economy, each country's immigration policies have a significant impact on talent mobility, directly influencing how companies can recruit and manage their international employees. As governments adjust their immigration laws, organisations must quickly adapt their strategies to remain competitive. For example, the relaxation of immigration policies in some countries is designed to alleviate talent shortages, allowing companies to access a wider pool of international skills and experience. This was a key finding of the Global Immigration Trends 2024 Report, which highlighted how these more flexible policies are helping companies fill critical vacancies in sectors such as technology and healthcare. On the other hand, tighter restrictions elsewhere can limit companies' ability to bring in top international talent, affecting innovation and growth. In response, many companies are increasing their reliance on digital and communication technologies to manage globally distributed teams, rather than physically relocating employees. Companies that keep up with these changes and collaborate with immigration experts can more effectively navigate this complex terrain. Alter Ego not only provides legal advice, but we also help organisations develop proactive strategies that maximise their access to global talent despite fluctuations in immigration policies. Thus, as policies continue to evolve, the ability to adapt quickly to these changes will be crucial for companies to maintain a competitive edge in attracting international talent. #AlterEgoSpain #movilidadinternacional #recolocación #servicioalcliente #experiencia #profesionalismo #cercanía #InternationalMobility #RelocationServices #CustomerService #Experience #Professionalism #PersonalTouch #AlterEgo #GlobalRelocation #MovingToSpain #EmployeeRelocation #ExpatLife #WorkAbroad #SpainRelocation #PersonalAssistant

Do you know what global mobility is? The world, as we know it, is more connected than ever, and we can feel the impact in our global workforce. Global mobility is a set of policies, practices and processes implemented by a company to facilitate the movement of employees between different counrtries or geographical regions. This mobility can take various forms, such as temporary or permanent transfers, short-term assignments, global recruitment, among others. These programs are designed to meet the needs of companies in a globalized environment, where the ability to attract, develop and retain international talent is essential for competitive success. They may include: • Policies relating to aspects such as employee selection and preparation; • Visa and immigration issues • Compensation and benefits; • Support for cultural adaptation and integration into the new working environment. While our world may be getting more connected, it doesn’t mean it’s getting less complicated. There are a handful of challenges that come with building a seamless global mobility program. Every country has its own set of immigration policies. In the Immigration sector for example, we can mention the importance of issuing the Brazilian CPF, an individual taxpayer identification number gibem to anyone who pays taxes in Brazil. A CPF is essential to be able to do almost anything in Brazil. Without a CPF, you cannot get a driving license, purchase a car, buy property, open a bank account, purchase plane tickets, have an online membership, or get a cell phone plan - you need it for just about any purchase beyond basic items. All native Brazilians and permanent residents need to have a CPF. Interested in this topic? Follow me for more #globalmobility tips. #immigration #relocation #hrconsultancy #GMS #workforcemobility

🕛 🌍 The speed at which one can hire talent in a country plays a vital role in both the employee's and the company's success. I am pleased to see that just over three months after the launch of the new immigration model in #Sweden on January 29th, it has proven successful. As we can see from our data, initial permits are processed within an average of 17 days, while renewals are processed within 7 days in category A, well below the official 30 day turnaround time. As we enter the summer months, it will be interesting to see if this can continue, given that the June/July months have traditionally been challenging for authorities. As the situation develops, my team will keep a close eye on it and keep you updated. #swedenimmigration #migrationsverket #globalmobility
